Story
I'm just as sweet as my name!Strawberry was born about May 12, 2015 and is with us because her family is having a human baby.  So often the pets are considered disposable with this life changing event. The baby sure missed out on the opportunity of growing up with a sweet, wonderful kitty.  Maybe it's best overall, because Strawberry came to us in heat, and that will be her last one. Strawberry is just a social butterfly and will happily greet everyone she meet! She is great with other cats, dogs, and kids of all ages. She loves to go for car rides and also likes to help us fold laundry (see picture!) She is the sweetest cat you will ever meet. She comes when you call her and is happy to give you all the kitty kisses and head bonks you want. She has a wonderful purr that will relax you and she is really soft, so you will really love to hold her against you. And she LOVES to knead! She will adore you forever.  She is now spayed and ready to find a truly forever home.   Strawberry has recently developed FHV, feline herpes virus. It effects her right eye and is considered to be contagious to unvaccinated cats. She needs a special home where she can be the only cat, or be in a home that also has cats with this virus. Good nutrition is essential for her, in addition to L-lysine treats that are very effective in controlling flare-ups and also help to boost the immune system. It is very affordable. We know there is a home out there for this extremely sweet and loving cat. Can you give her the loving home, and medical care going forward, that she needs? A cat can live 12-18+ years if cared for properly. Be sure you are able to care for it for its lifetime. The ADOPTION FEE for Strawberry is $50.00.   We accept CASH or Visa/Mastercard ONLY.    All kittens/cats are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, wormed, treated for fleas and tested negative for FIV/FELV. YOU MUST BE AT LEAST 21 YEARS OF AGE TO ADOPT A CAT FROM JOYFUL RESCUES We keep our pet list as up-to-date as possible. As soon as a pet is adopted, it is removed from the list. If a pet is still showing, it is still available for adoption. Story
I Was Born in an Abandoned Drain Pipe.My name is John Drew.  I am named after one of the Beatles.  I don’t know how to play the guitar but I do know how to play with cat toys!  I love to chase and wrestle with my 4 other siblings.  I would need another cat in my forever home for play time or maybe adopt one of my siblings.  I have a lot of energy being a kitten and need another young cat to wear me out.  I have been around other cats and small dogs.  I don’t think I would like small children who would not know how to handle me gently.  But older children would be fine.  A cat can live 12-18+ years if cared for properly. Be sure you are able to care for it for its lifetime. The ADOPTION FEE for kittens is100.00 unless there is a specific amount listed for a particular kitten.  The adoption fee for a young cat (1 to 3 years) is $75.00 unless there is a specific amount listed for a particular cat.  The adoption fee for a cat 3 years and up is $50.00 unless there is a specific amount listed for that cat. We accept CASH or Visa/Mastercard ONLY.    All kittens/cats are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, wormed, treated for fleas and tested negative for FIV/FELV. Story
Jenny was born about September 1, 2011 and weighs 10.75 lbs.   She came to us from another shelter that reached out for help.  Jenny came from the home of an elderly woman who had to go into assisted living. . . leaving behind 34 cats!  Amazingly, the cats were all in good condition & were all named!  They were truly loved!  Though they were cared for & loved, they're not really well socialized with people, as they only ever saw their care giver.   Jenny will surely need a significant adjustment period. A cat can live 12-18+ years if cared for properly. Be sure you are able to care for it for its lifetime. The ADOPTION FEE for kittens is $85.00 unless there is a specific amount listed for a particular kitten.  The adoption fee for a young cat (1 to 3 years) is $75.00 unless there is a specific amount listed for a particular cat.  The adoption fee for a cat 3 years and up is $50.00 unless there is a specific amount listed for that cat.
