Story
Truffle is a gorgeous girl that has never quite gotten used to humans. She was caught outside in a very large colony when she was about 6 weeks or so. She is polite and very well mannered, but doesn't allow her fosters to touch her. She loves to watch TV! She'll also watch Youtube videos for cats. She seems to get picked on by other cats but she is completely in love with Eddye, who is an incredibly social, loving and fairly "simple" cat - he's obsessed with foster mom. Truffle follows Eddye around, flirts and inspects him after foster mom has pet him to make sure he's still him. She watches over Eddye almost constantly. She does best in her own space with Eddye which is provided for them with a cat door leading to an enclosed outdoor area. She really loves spending time outside. Truffle is quite curious, and even nosy! She will watch from a few feet away, she loves to play, and will swat at string toys and balls that you throw to her. She gets along with other animals as long as the other animals are not overbearing. We are seeking a very specific placement for Truffle and Eddye together. She's a beautiful calico/tortoiseshell and he is a handsome black and white cat. Do you have room in your heart and home for this special needs pair? All adoption fees will be waved to give this lovely pair a chance. She is spayed, up to date on vaccines, has her rabies shot, and she tested negative for FeL/FIV. Please complete the adoption application to be considered for adopting Truffle

Story
Chet is a handsome, sweet natured guy. He is friendly when meeting new people right off the bat. He was found living on the street and no one came to claim this wonderful cat. While out on the street he was living among feral cats, dependent on Stray HELP volunteers that feed street cats every day. Chet would do very well in a home with moderate activity, and plenty of love to give.  Our required adoption donation is $150 per kitten or $125 per cat (oclder than 9 months). All our rescues are up to date on rabies and FRCPV vaccines, microchipped, tested for FIV/FeLV (** Chet has tested FIV+). They are dewormed, treated for parasites and free of fleas. Each is spayed or neutered prior to adoption. An application must be completed to be considered to adopt from Stray HELP. You can download it from HERE   OR directly   ONLINE. If your application is approved we conduct a home visit for final approval of adoption. To view more pictures of cats and kittens in our program visit our facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/StrayHELPNY/.  We raise our rescues in foster homes and are familiar with their individual personality. They are accustomed to people, phones, radios and tv; all the noises of home life. We work with perspective parents to find their perfect match.  We are the adoption partner of #PoughkeepsiePetSmart and you can visit some of our available cats and kittens there during business hours.

A really nice companion for both pets and people.  Our required adoption donation is $150 per kitten or $125 per cat (older than 9 months). All our rescues are up to date on shots, microchipped, tested for FIV/FeL. They are dewormed, treated for parasites and free of fleas. Each is spayed or neutered and given a rabies vaccination. Story
This little love is gentle and sweet. He is easy with all he comes in contact with. Doesn't cause a fuss. He loves to be loved, pet and snuggled. He'd be wonderful in a home that has plenty of time to spend with him.  Scrappy lived outside for months after being put out by his owner for fear harm would come to him in a turbulent household. When we picked him up, news got back to us about his situation and that person's happiness he could start a new life. Our required adoption donation is $150 per kitten or $125 per cat (older than 9 months). All our rescues are up to date on shots, microchipped, tested for FIV/FeLV/Heartworm. They are dewormed, treated for parasites and free of fleas.
