Story
LAILA was literally thrown out of an apartment October/15 and luckily our foster lady lives next door and so we told her to bring her in which she did in mid November. It was soon determined that Laila was pregnant and she delivered her 2 kittens (now adopted) Jan.11/16. Laila is about 2.5 yrs old, gorgeous semi-long hair CALICO. She is very sweet and now at our shelter and gets along find with a few of our friendly cats who are used to newcomers. Laila would do well either as an only cat or with a male cat that is calm. She is quite affectionate and loves to be petted. She is in excellent health, spayed, de-wormed, free of parasites. Please consider this lovely girl if you are looking for a puurfect kitty. Please see our Adoption Procedure and Criteria on www.catamatch.petfinder.com and if you agree email us to request our Adoption application.

Story
BEFORE CONTACTING US BY PHONE OR E-MAIL: Please go to: www.catamatch.petfinder.com to read our Adoption Criteria and Adoption Procedure BEFORE requesting our application which we will gladly e-mail to you; you can also see our other 55+ resident kitties up for adoption. Also, please state your location and note ours. Thank You. Fatima was born approximately November 2010, a large girl, short hair tabby with a little white bib. Fatima and her brother Figaro (adopted) were found in the middle of the road by the shelter owner one night and after inquiring at the house there were told that they had been dropped off by the woman's ex husband otherwise he was going to DISCARD them in the nearby Provincial Park!!!!! So of course we took them right away. Fatima is a good girl who has learned to be quite obedient and gets along well with other cats. She would do fine as an only cat or with another calm kitty. And she does love to play and get attention. We have a resident Husky and she has no problems in the company of dogs. She is part of our main shelter and has access to our outdoor secure cat enclosure. (updated July 18, 2016) She has always stayed very healthy and spayed/vac/dewormed. *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* IMPORTANT NOTE ABOUT OUR PERSONALITY PROFILES: Our personality profiles are 95% accurate based on the cats' present environment; this can change to SOME degree in a new environment, therefore, our predictions on the best matched home are 80% to 100% accurate. She was brought in to our vet with a few other kittens, so we don't know her background. We do know, however, that she must have been born in a home and her parents were domesticated. Sassy is very playful and very attentive to humans. She has a very special trick that she does on command that is adorable, so you'll have to come and see it. Sassy gets along well with other cats and we do think that she might do best with a male cat who is not dominant, or a female she knows here who is also non-dominant. She just likes to be the boss, but is not aggressive. Sassy will be a great 'doggy-cat' for anyone who likes a somewhat obedient kitty and will cuddle next to you. Thank You! *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* Kramer is a domestic short-haired male, white & yellow with a tiger tail, who was born approximately March 2007. Most of our kitties have 2 names, one on entry and another that suits their personalities once we gt to know them; hence "Happy" still suits this fella, however, we cannot believe how uncannily he acts physically and even all around like Kramer on the Seinfeld show! As much as a cat can be obedient, this boy is! Not much seems to bother him. This poor fellow was left in a cardboard box at our vet's door during the night. He stayed at the vet's for 5 weeks, until we found another shelter that would take him in. The night we transported him part way to our shelter to be picked up, he had pooped in the car. So, after bringing him in to clean the carrier, we observed that he walked strangely and might have either some injury to his hips or back legs, or ?? Kramer was so friendly with the other housecats here that I decided to keep him, to also have him re-examined. At the vet's he was only let out of the cage when it was cleaned and no one noticed anything other than how loving he was. X-Rays showed no obvious injury, possibly an old one? No, it was most likely cerebellar hypoplaysia. Kittens who survive distemper, or other diseases or infections, sometimes are left with this condition, which affects their motor abilities such as incoordination. Kramer has no idea he can't jump like other cats and he does everything as if he were normal. In his case it would be ideal to have him adopted where he doesn't have access to high shelves. In the shelter he does jump up and do it all, but we are concerned that he might be injured but have no other place for him at this time. Kramer will make you laugh because he plays like a kitten. Some female cats who are queens seem to shy away from him, but generally he likes to play with kittens and certainly will be a very loving cat for his human companion. Thank You! *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* Buttons, born approximately June 2011 GREY MEDIUM HAIR, was found behind our local eatery by some customers who heard faint meowing. When they brought her she was in very bad shape, dehydrated with a bad cold, her eyes almost glued shut with infection. Buttons took sometime to recuperate fully but after a few rounds of medications prescribed by our vet she became healthy and happy. Buttons is a very playful kitty who adores going out on a leash or if you are thinking of a cat enclosure, this would be her dream come true. In 2014 Buttons underwent dental surgery to remove a few teeth. She is doing well but has remained with a slight nasal condition that may be polyps however we are unable to afford $1000 surgery and she is doing very well with no adverse affects otherwise as per our vet this would has not become something serious to delve into unless there were other symptoms which there are none. She has a very good appetite and is very well trained and gets along well with all the other cats.. She is very affectionate, spayed and vaccinated etc.. She would do fine as an only cat or with another kitty companion. Although she was bottle fed by the shelter owner from age 4 weeks she is a bit shy with strangers. She is very playful and can be held and cuddled. Samira is very small with a tiny teddy bear face. We hope to find her a home with cat-lovers who understand shy cats and can give her time to warm up to them. It would be best for her to have a friend either from our shelter or a friendly kitty that you have already.
