She is house trained, crate trained, and walks pretty good on a leash. She sits nicely for her treat and gets into her crate easily. She has been a low-key girl, and a lot of times, I catch her just hanging out in her crate. She will be a great addition to anyone’s family!Prior to adoption I will be altered, vaccinated, health checked, dewormed, and micro-chipped. Adoption Fee $500+taxes/feesIf you would like to meet me please fill out a pre-adoption application at www.tailsrescue.orgHappy Tails Adoption Center is open on Sundays from 12-5pm. Please fill out a pre-adoption application so we know you are interested in meeting/adopting one of our animals. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.The breeds of our dogs and cats are a 'best guess.' We often do not know what mix they are and have to base it on what we think they look like, and base it on breeds often found in the area they came from. Most of our dogs who have gotten DNA tests done are 4-10 breeds mixed together. Because their breed mix is a guess we cannot guarantee a 'full grown size' of many of our younger animals.Interested in adopting me? You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Thank you for stopping by to see me!   Please check below to see what upcoming adoption events I will be attending or apply here for a private meeting.  If you have other questions about me you can email Underdog Rescue at <underdogrescue@petml.com> ***Be sure to check your spam/junk folder as sometimes our emails end up there*** Due to concern around COVID-19, Underdog Rescue is suspending all public adoption events and community events. We are still accepting applications for available dogs but are delaying in-person meet and greets due to the ‘stay at home’ policy. Thank you for your support.    DOB: 06/20/2016 Requires another dog in home: No Okay with dogs of all sizes: No Okay with cats: No  Okay with children under 12 years old: Yes Requires a fenced yard: No Note: dogs must always be leashed whenever outside of a contained area Hi everyone! My name is Rosie. I am a 3 year old Chesapeake Bay Retriever. My previous owners needed to surrender me due to life change events. I am housebroken, very social, and love people of all sizes! I have the prettiest eyes you’ve ever seen!  I like to push the squeakers in toys with my nose. The noise they make is so much fun! I am currently slightly overweight, but I’m working on it.  I weigh about 75lb but the number should be about 65.  I am a high energy girl and ready for exercise though, so that will help with my weight loss plan. I walk on a leash well except when I get distracted by those pesky squirrels and their friends!   I have anxiety which means I get scared by the unfamiliar.  I would love a predictable home with space to run and a human family with some experience with animals. I have so much love to give and I cannot wait to meet you!   ***Be sure to check your spam/junk folder as sometimes our emails end up there***  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.  ADOPTION EVENTS:   Adoption events are updated as the foster home RSVP's to attend. Check back for updates on which events they will be attending. Please understand that all of our pets are in volunteer foster homes and sometimes "life" happens and the foster family cannot make it to their scheduled adoption event. If you are traveling from a far distance to meet a specific animal, please understand we cannot guarantee event attendance. You may wish to consider applying and setting up a private appointment. Private appointments are only scheduled after an application is submitted and approved.   ADOPTION PROCEDURE: The first step in our process is to complete an online adoption application on our website: http://www.underdogrescuemn.com/adoptionprocess/   Note: In most circumstances Underdog Rescue will only adopt within 60 miles of Minneapolis, MN.  All of our foster animals can be seen by appointment with an approved adoption application. Contact us at http://www.underdogrescuemn.com/contact-us/ if you have further questions.   FOSTER CARE: All of our animals are fostered in individual homes or doggie daycare facilities. While they are in our care, they are part of our families and given lots of love. We work on training, crate-training and socialization prior to adoption. Each animal's behavior is evaluated and we have a sense of its temperament and personality. We look for adopters who will give each animal the wonderful life and permanent home that he or she deserves. If you have an interest and ability to be a foster home, please visit our website  www.underdogrescuemn.com/foster-applications  and fill out a foster application.   NUTRITION: Nutrition is vital to the rehabilitation and life-long health of our pets.  All of our foster animals are fed a premium diet such as NutriSource, Canidae, Orijen, Nature's Variety, Fromm, Pure Vita, Stella and Chewy's, Primal, or balanced raw diet.  All adopters are required to continue providing premium diets for the life of the animal.   YOU CAN HELP: Not able to foster or adopt right now? Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Name: Shermaine DOB: 5/25/2019 Weight: 34 lbs Adoption Fee: 400.00 Hey everyone! My name is Shermaine. So, back in December, I was picked up as a stray on the outskirts of Houston, TX. I found myself at the shelter for a LONG time. Sadly most dogs don't get to stay at the shelter that long, but they thought I deserved a second chance. Luckily, a foster in Texas found out I needed help busting out of there, so they picked me up so I could hang out at their house until I could come to Minnesota! I am your typical young dog who loves to be extremely active and will require lots of playtime. I love being outside and exploring the great outdoors.. that's why I'm so excited for Minnesota! I hear you have lots of wooded trails and lakes. I would be a great jogging partner or adventure buddy! I've met other dogs and do just great with them. Cats on the other hand.. I haven't met, so I'm not sure how I'd do with them. I am still working on my potty training but I'm getting better every day. If you're looking for a new adventure companion.. I'm your girl!  *The breed of a shelter puppy is often times a guess based on what traits the dog presents when they are brought in. We cannot guarantee the breed or size they will be full grown.* An adoption application is the best way to show your interest in an animal.  Please check out our website, www.ruffstartrescue.org for more details and additional pictures on any of our animals! All Ruff Start dogs and cats are spayed/neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccines, microchipped, dewormed, and on monthly flea/tick and heartworm prevention (dogs) as well as heartworm tested (dogs). Ruff Start Rescue is a foster based rescue. Animals are located in homes throughout Minnesota. We do not have a facility where animals are kept.
