Story
**I'm currently in a foster home, and can be met with an approved adoption application.**Hi everyone! My name is Charlie, and I'm a short and stocky male Chihuahua/Terrier mix. I'm housebroken and only bark when someone comes to the door (or I hear a strange sound). I love walks and walk well on a leash, and I especially enjoy long walks on hiking trails. I don't mind kids of all ages, although sometimes chaos makes me a bit cautious. Since I'm a cautious guy, slow intros to dogs and humans are best. I like to play with smaller dogs, and do okay with larger dogs after I've had time to warm up to them. I'm still not sure what the purpose of a cat is, but it doesn't stop me from investigating them. If you've got patience (and possibly a canine playmate in your home) I could be your next best friend!

Story
Lola is a Chihuahua born in 2012. Little is known about her parents. She is good with older kids, NOT toddlers. She has lived with a pitbull all her life and is fine with him. No exposure to cats. Lola has some issues with potty training, especially in the winter months. She needs a family who would be possibly retired and/or able to let her out often. I work 12 hours shifts and this is too long for her not to go out. She is a sweet dog and would make another family happy! She is fixed but not up to date on shots.

Story
Paco is a 9 year old, 12 lb Chihuahua (little brown one). His favorite thing is to curl up with you in bed at night. He can be a little pushy/excited at times ? likely, just getting used to our routine. He eats when he wants to, and wasn&#39t thrilled with the bath, but just left it at a little whining til he got out. Usually he is happy to gnaw on a toy or bone while lying on the couch by you. He loves to quietly watch what is going on outside. Paco and Runt are a bonded pair and must be adopted together. They both ride in the car beautifully! They do not do well in crates. Runt will scratch and smash her face on the grates, so we left them out in our bedroom the first few days we were at work. They now have the run of the house--no problems! They have had no accidents in the house, and they have fully raided our pet toy box. They didn&#39t bark or care about about our dogs or cats , but will bark at other dogs when out for a walk. The original owner says they will go to the door and bark to let you know they need to go out. We haven&#39t been able to confirm as we have two seniors we let out a lot in the evenings. There is no guarding or aggression at all when it comes to food or toys. They both sleep through the night. Their adoption fee is $500.

Snapshot of Puddin! Foster Dog Name Puddin Potty trained? I'm a pro! Crate trained? I do well without one, but I’ll hang out in a crate if needed. Good with kids? Untested, but likely fine! Good with strangers? I need slow intros and space! Good with cats? Cats are boring. I ignore them! Good with dogs? Not sure but I think she might adjust? Size? Fun size (10-20 lbs) Shedding? Occasional vacuuming and you won’t even notice! Activity level? I play hard and snuggle hard! Noise level? I bark when I play! Interested? Learn more about Puddin below! Hi, my name is Puddin and I am a young 11lb female chihuahua spaniel mix.  The vet thinks I'm probably 1 1/2-2 years old and I've already been spayed.  I am completely house trained!   My foster home is pretty quiet with just my foster mom and the 14 year old resident cat.  I'm pretty curious about the cat but he has not warmed up to me.  We were nose to nose the other day, he hissed but, I just sniffed.  I am usually nervous around big dogs but am getting to know the neighbor and love to run back and forth along the fence line trying to get her to chase me.  My foster mom does not like the barking that goes along with that but it's just too much fun!!  Otherwise, I'm quiet.  I am really good on the leash and am getting less afraid of people we pass on our walks.  I am very smart and would love a home that can help me use my energy! I will sit for a treat every time!  My former foster in TX sent up this little lambchop toy that I love to carry around with me.  And, I love to play with and chase a tennis ball.   I am cautious when meeting new people and it may take a day or two for me to adjust to a new home, but once I warm up, I will love you to pieces!  I am super cute with the sweetest personality.  Please make me yours!   Adoption Fee:  $450 Training Requirement:  No training required   MEET ME/ADOPT ME:  If you’d like to arrange a meeting or begin the adoption process, please fill out an adoption application by visiting  www.twincitiespetrescue.org/adopt/adopt-a-dog/ . Story
Hadler aka Cody has blossomed into an affectionate companion. He gets along wonderfully with dogs of his size. He enjoys lounging on the couch with his human and sleeping in bed near their head. He's kennel trained. He delights in playing chase with his canine friends in the backyard, as well as playing with his toys. He's fond of bully sticks, house trained, adept at using the doggy door, and will resort to a potty pad if necessary. He LOVES to go for walks. Hadler aka Cody, is a rescue from a situation involving 25 small dogs, was extremely fearful upon his rescue a year ago. He was adopted but is now being returned due to the need for a quieter environment with fewer people. He is apprehensive around strangers, which makes his current situation unsuitable. He seeks a peaceful home. He would do best with another social dog in the home but can be solo. He does not like kids at all and will bark and growl at them. His limited exposure to people in the past means he's still learning how to greet them. He tends to get frightened and bark at newcomers. He's not comfortable around children or certain men, especially when they lean over him. However, he's highly motivated by treats, which helps when meeting new people. He has a quirky personality, and a generally calm demeanor. He is an Excellent companion dog. Hadler (Cody) is also leash trained and really enjoys walks, showing excitement when his harness is brought out. No kids for this guy. For adoption inquiries, visit www.campcompanion.org. The adoption fee is $300 plus tax.
