Lola is a Chihuahua born in 2012. Little is known about her parents. She is good with older kids, NOT toddlers. She has lived with a pitbull all her life and is fine with him. No exposure to cats. Lola has some issues with potty training, especially in the winter months. She needs a family who would be possibly retired and/or able to let her out often. I work 12 hours shifts and this is too long for her not to go out. She is a sweet dog and would make another family happy! She is fixed but not up to date on shots.

My foster home is pretty quiet with just my foster mom and the 14 year old resident cat. I'm pretty curious about the cat but he has not warmed up to me. We were nose to nose the other day, he hissed but, I just sniffed. I am usually nervous around big dogs but am getting to know the neighbor and love to run back and forth along the fence line trying to get her to chase me. My foster mom does not like the barking that goes along with that but it's just too much fun!! Otherwise, I'm quiet. I am really good on the leash and am getting less afraid of people we pass on our walks. I am very smart and would love a home that can help me use my energy! I will sit for a treat every time! My former foster in TX sent up this little lambchop toy that I love to carry around with me. And, I love to play with and chase a tennis ball. I am cautious when meeting new people and it may take a day or two for me to adjust to a new home, but once I warm up, I will love you to pieces! I am super cute with the sweetest personality. I'm housebroken and only bark when someone comes to the door (or I hear a strange sound). I love walks and walk well on a leash, and I especially enjoy long walks on hiking trails. I don't mind kids of all ages, although sometimes chaos makes me a bit cautious. Since I'm a cautious guy, slow intros to dogs and humans are best. I like to play with smaller dogs, and do okay with larger dogs after I've had time to warm up to them. I'm still not sure what the purpose of a cat is, but it doesn't stop me from investigating them. If you've got patience (and possibly a canine playmate in your home) I could be your next best friend!
