Lily is a 2.5 year old chiweenie, who does not bark at all. She is so timid and docile, and obedient. She is used to staying with dogs, and does not get bothered by them. She is a gem of a girl, housebroken and so very tolerant. After the initial shyness, she attaches to her human immediately. To meet this sweet girl, please contact savesomesoulsrescue@gmail.com

Story
My name if Freya.   I'm a one and half year old Chihuahua/Terrier mix and weigh 13 lbs. I was abandoned in a scary area with big trucks and a lot of traffic.  I stayed there for 3 days waiting for my family to come back and get me, but they never did. The nice lady who was feeding me decided it was safer to find a new home for me. I'm really glad that nice lady took me home.  I got to see the vet and found out that I have heart worms, and that made me really sad, but I am being treated for that. If you adopt me, the rescue will pay for my heart worm treatment until I test negative.  My last test said I was low heart worm positive so I am getting better! I am potty trained and kennel trained, although I have peed in the house a few time when it was stormy outside or if my foster doesn't pick up on my need to go outside. I like to snuggle and play catch and will even bring the toy back to you. I like to cuddle up for nap time and sleep next to my human at night. I don't know commands yet, but I'm working on that. I can walk on a leash, but I'm still practicing with that too. I'd probably be best around older kids and adults.  I like to jump a lot and may accidentally nip when playing, and I wouldn't want to hurt anyone.  I like to play with the cats, and that new kitten beats me up sometimes.  Even though we get along my foster mom doesn't leave me alone with them just in case someone may accidentally get hurt. I do sleep next to the kitten at night, I like that. We just got through a holiday with fireworks. I did NOT like those at all, especially when they were close. Loud noises make me shake sometimes until I feel I'm safe.  I do calm down with a nice hug and cuddling though.  Eventually I just slept right through it with my thundershirt. If you have any questions, please contact hhfrescue@gmail.com.  If you are interested in adopting, please complete an adoption application at www.hhfrescue.org.The adoption fee includes vaccinations, bordetella, deworming, rabies, spay/neuter, microchip, a lifetime registration of the microchip, and sales tax. If adopting a puppy, the rabies and spay/neuter will be done at the same time by our vet once they are 4 months old and billed to us. It is against the law in the State of Texas for a rescue not to be sterilized so we have to make sure it gets completed and that we have record of it.

This little boy was pulled by Red Collar just before Christmas. He had been hit by a car and his owners dropped him off at the city shelter instead of taking him to a vet, His back leg was severely injured and could not be saved. Tiny Tim is recovering nicely and is as sweet as can be. A real lap dog.

Story
Hi there. My name is Cream Cheese. I was at the city shelter, very scared, and because I cowered in the back of my kennel, I was moved to the euthanasia list. I got my name because volunteers working to get me out of the shelter kept calling me "that cream chi" - and so I became Cream Cheese. Lucky for me, Red Collar saw I was just a timid little boy, and got me out of there to safety. I have been settling in at my foster's home, and enjoying my foster siblings. I am still a bit anxious, but love getting treats, taking walks and cuddling safe in my foster's arms. I am very sweet. I will be your best friend if you just give me some time and a little TLC. Story
A big personality in a tiny package Bruno has it all: looks, personality, giant ears, and super smarts. What doesn’t he have? A home of his own. Bruno loves to snuggle up under a blanket with his favorite person, play with toys he can fling around, and in general, be an adorable little ham. Likes: Nylabones, smooches, tiny toys he can fling about, being a blanket burrito Dislikes: Unsolicited pets, annoying commercials with weird talking pumpkins, Veronica Mars, being alone. To know Bruno is to love Bruno, and his love in return will be undying. If you want a sweet dog that will snuggle while you watch Netflix, will play when you have a toy, loves to train and learn new tricks if you have treats, and actually does enjoy a long walk on a beach, then you’re looking in the right place.

Story
Hi I'm Twiggy aka Twigs. I was fostered with my brother Bruiser and lucky him, he was adopted. Foster Mom was worried I would be really sad when he left but I'm still my fun crazy self. Foster Mom lets me sleep in her bed now and boy do I enjoy laying under the covers and snuggling up next to her. I love playing with my foster dog and cat siblings. I love the cats but they are older and think I'm a bit much. I love to chase everyone. I also love to chew on toys and bully sticks too. I'm teething after all. I got to meet the neighbors grandson the other day and wow did we have fun running around the living room after each other. We had the whole room laughing at our antics. I really want to have a playful doggy sibling in my new home to help me burn off energy. I will not get very big so you can take me with you when you go do fun stuff. Did I mention I love to give kisses, I do and it doesn't matter who you are, I will smother you with kisses if you let me. I love to be held and heck I'm just full of fun and love. Did I mention also that I don't potty in the house. I will hold it and bark for Foster Mom to take me outside. As long as I get outside often I won't potty inside. Everyone says that's very rare for a puppy as young and small as me but it's true! I'm so ready to be a part of a wonderful family so please adopt me! I am the sweetest and bestest puppy ever. Oh and I'm cute too!! Twiggy is a Female Chihuahua/Terrier Mix that we estimate to be born around 2/26/24. As of 4/27, she weighed 3.92 lbs.
