Story
Conrad is a handsome ginger guy weighing in at about 45 lbs. He isn't quite as furry as a typical Chow and has a lovely curled tail that makes him look like a mini Akita. As typical of many primitive breeds, he can be aloof or uncomfortable with strangers and it is important to earn his trust. Once you do, you will have a loyal friend for life. He would do best in an adult only home that is familiar with Chows or Shar-Peis. We would describe him as selective with other dogs so if you have another dog, a meet and greet is important. If you are looking for a lower maintenance, medium size Chow or Shar-Pei, please consider Conrad since he is the best of both worlds!Visit Akita Ranch 28930 Ellis Ave, Romoland, CA, Open 10-5 daily. Story
Hello, My dog's name is Harry, he is 13 years old. He is very nice to people, enjoys attention, very cute, charismatic, and likes to be comfy, and an awesome dog.We got Harry a month ago when I visited my sister in Mexicali, Baja California, Mexico. I decided to get Harry because my sister 4 years ago gave birth to her daughter which has special needs, since the birth of her daughter they stopped taking Harry on they stopped taking him on walks and they stopped taking good care of him (which I wasn't aware of). He lived in their backyard since they got him thirteenth years ago but Mexicali's weather is very bad to have a pet live outside because the temperatures in the summer can reach up to 119 degrees and in winter they can do down to 26 degrees and they told me that for the most part he lived outside which is insane(unacceptable). What I'm looking for in a home for Harry is preferably a family with no kids or a person with no other dogs or cats who would take very good care of him.

Story
Meet the fabulous Fabio!  We rescued this 8 year hunk from the San Diego Humane Society on March 29th, and he was scooped up the next day by one of our volunteers for a two week Frosted Fling. What's great about a Frosted Flings is that it gives a senior dog whose life has been turned upside down through no fault of his own, an opportunity to decompress in a home and to receive lots of love & attention. And we get to learn all about him and enhance his adoption profile so his forever family can find him! Luckily, his Fling mom has been providing daily updates. Here's what we've learned so far: -Fabio is getting great with his fling family's dog AND cat!  -He went to the groomer and received an A++ for being perfectly behaved. -Fabio loves to hang out with his fling family wherever they are - inside watching tv, in their backyard, in the car, anywhere!  -He's a champion napper and eater. :) We can only post four photos to Fabio's profile, but if you're interested in seeing more of Fabio (let's face it, who isn't?), follow Behind the Scenes at Frosted Faces Foundation on Facebook. There are many more photos and videos. Apply to meet this golden bear:  www.frostedfacesfoundation.org/apply No adoption fee, and we help with medical costs!
