Story
Maggie was found digging in the trash on a street in Mexico as a young puppy. She was brought to a home in California. She stayed in that home several weeks, wasn’t wanted and was then given to another family that had two older miniature Chihuahuas. The high energy puppy was not a good mix for this family and the puppy was harshly reprimanded. Our family took the dog and we soon realized that she had behavioral issues. We had another dog at the time and that older larger dog was able to cohabitate with Maggie and even able to redirect her at times. Maggie does not get along well with any other dogs. She will bark viciously and constantly when she sees one through the fence or through windows. When taking her for a walk, the neighbors all know to cross the street away from her. If a dog would come toward her, she would turn and run away scared. We have taken her to classes, tried every dog collar and harness, treats, etc. etc. and have spent more money on her than any other dog.

Story
We need your help in finding this boy his forever home! A foster is immediately needed for him right now. Maxie is totally adorable! Upon seeing him, your first inclination is to want to hug him, scratch him, and grab his beautiful little face in your hands to kiss as he is so cute and cuddly. But, Maxie, however, is a very serious little Chow Chow who is not overly fond of being touched and handled without a purpose. He’s tolerant of being bathed and a limited amount of petting and scratching. His favorite things to do include neighborhood walks, going places with his person and seeing new sights. He’s up for any adventure. He needs an experienced chow person who understands his temperament and personality. He is a wonderful companion dog but not a lap dog.

Story
We need your help! Our perfect chow chow needs a foster now! A forever home would be our ultimate goal for him.   Christopher is on the verge of being homeless. His person is traveling a good deal of the time and is unable to provide care for him. Christopher needs a chow savvy person who understands chow personality and temperament. He is a companion dog, not a lap dog or a cuddle bunny.  He wants to go with you wherever you go, sit in the car and wait for you, go on long walks with you and lie at your feet on the floor while you work. He loves people and gets along well with other dogs.

Story
Meet the fabulous Fabio!  We rescued this 8 year hunk from the San Diego Humane Society on March 29th, and he was scooped up the next day by one of our volunteers for a two week Frosted Fling. What's great about a Frosted Flings is that it gives a senior dog whose life has been turned upside down through no fault of his own, an opportunity to decompress in a home and to receive lots of love & attention. And we get to learn all about him and enhance his adoption profile so his forever family can find him! Luckily, his Fling mom has been providing daily updates. Here's what we've learned so far: -Fabio is getting great with his fling family's dog AND cat!  -He went to the groomer and received an A++ for being perfectly behaved. -Fabio loves to hang out with his fling family wherever they are - inside watching tv, in their backyard, in the car, anywhere!  -He's a champion napper and eater. :) We can only post four photos to Fabio's profile, but if you're interested in seeing more of Fabio (let's face it, who isn't?), follow Behind the Scenes at Frosted Faces Foundation on Facebook. There are many more photos and videos. Apply to meet this golden bear:  www.frostedfacesfoundation.org/apply No adoption fee, and we help with medical costs!
