You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. All of our dogs and cats are in foster homes and we have no paid staff.  If you have questions concerning a specific animal,  PLEASE fill out an application and the foster parent will be in touch.  We will not arrange any home visits with any of our dogs and cats until your application is processed.  Please understand our foster parents are precious to our 2nd Chance family; without them we cannot function, so we do our best to not burden them with multiple appointments.  Our foster parents will choose their top 3 applications and arrange home visits with these applicants.  The adopter will be chosen at that time.  The process can take anywhere from a week to a month.  We want to make sure our little furry ones are placed in their "forever home" and never have to go through a rehoming again!   My name is Megan I have always lived with my sister her name is Twighligjt  We have been kept in our crates a lot and it makes us sad :(  If you have time for us so we don't have to be in our crates we would really like to meet you :)   We are full of energy our foster mommy says that may be because of all the time we couldn't play but she can't guarantee that we are not just crazy happy puppies :)  We are cautious around new people so if you are chosen for a visit make sure you have time to allow us to get used to you :)Please fill out an application at 2ndChance4LifeRescue.orgVisit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet. Please fill out an adoption application: Adoption application (Dog) Adoption Application (Cat)   Please understand we do not adopt out dogs to  families with children under the age of 5.  We do not adopt dogs to renters.  Some dogs will have fence requirements while others may not.   A pet is a lifetime commitment.  The dogs and cats in our system find themselves there, for the most part, because their humans did not have the same loyalty to them as they did to their owners.  We do not take the adoption process lightly, and will do everything in our power to make sure the animal is placed correctly the first time around for your sake and theirs.  Thank you for choosing to adopt not shop!

Our home was going through a lot of scary stuff!  Our human family has had some really bad things happen in their life and so even though they love us they think we would be better off with a new family.  We were spending a lot of time in our crates and we were sad :(We are at the ranch now and we run and run!  It is sooooo fun to chase each other around and play tag!  We never stop moving.  The ranch thinks its because we have a lot of play to catch up on but they can't guarantee that we won't always be crazy, energetic pups!!!If you want to meet us fill out an application at 2ndChance4LifeRescue.org  until then we will be in the play yards having fun :)Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.

I have been in my foster home for about 2 months, gotten spiffed up and am living a life of good things. I am a good boy, and I get along great with my cocker brother. I am housebroken, and after some refresher training and getting my medicine right, I am rockin' it. Once my hair finishes growing back in, I'm going to be &#194&#147stunning&#194&#148 (whatever that means) but in the meantime, I'll settle for cute-even though I look a little like a raccoon. My favorite toy is a tennis ball that is all my own. Even though my sight is not perfect, I still love chasing the ball. It hits me on the head, so I know to chase it. My smell is so good that I can smell mine even when it's on the floor with other ones. If I can't find anyone to play, I toss it over my head and then run for it. So, if you would like an older gentleman who is smart, trained, and very lovable, please check me out. INTAKE INFORMATION: Hi Everyone! My name is Buster, and I just arrived at CSAC from a shelter. I was found as a stray. I am a senior guy looking for someone to take care of me in my golden years. I was found to have ear infections and a skin infection. Right now, I am in the caring hands of one of the great Vets that work with the CSAC. They are checking me out and making sure I am healthy. I have cataracts, but that does not slow me down. Everyone says I am gentle and sweet. Hopefully, I will find my new family that will turn me into a happy, cherished pet for the remainder of my years. I need love, quality food, and a soft pillow to rest my head. Can you give an old guy a home? For more information about this dog, email our Adoption Coordinator. Our adoption process starts with an application. If you are interested in adopting this pup, please go back to the web site and click the Adopt menu at the top of the screen, read about our process, and click the application link. The medical and custodial care of the many Cockers in our care is tremendous. More and more dogs are abandoned with urgent and serious medical issues. We are committed to providing the best possible care for these forgotten friends. Unfortunately, the mounting high costs are beginning to limit the number of dogs we are able to take into our program. Even if you cannot adopt or foster one of our current adoptable dogs, please consider making a donation. The Cocker Spaniel Adoption Center is a 501(c)(3) non-profit charitable organization, and your donations are entirely tax deductible. As a senior, I should be enjoying a nap in the sun and lots of love and pets. Instead, I was turned into a shelter. Right now, I am in the caring hands of one of the great Vets that work with the CSAC. They are checking me out and making sure I am healthy. Everyone says I am sweet and gentle. I like to write letters and let my friends know how my life is going. My life is going really well in my foster home. My foster family is so wonderful to me. I get along well with my foster pup brothers and the kitties. I am just the most agreeable guy you'd want to meet. Mom said I needed to write that since it is very true. I am one mellow dude! I love people and am affectionate. Like all Cockers, I love to eat. I get really excited at mealtime. I have always been in such a rush to eat that Mom bought me one of those special bowls that forces me to slow down. I must admit I taste the yummy food more this way. Before it was all eaten in a flash. Mom says to tell you that I am at a good weight and in good condition for an older gentleman. I really am a love and will be so happy to meet my family. I hope someone out there is reading my letter and knows how much getting my home means to me. I LOVE with all my heart and will repay my family for giving me love, a warm home, and wonderful food. I will show them all my love and faithfulness and be forever grateful that they wished to make me their boy. Wouldn't it just be such a gift to have my new home for Christmas?!!! Please let CSAC you want to meet the very special Weaver. Love and kisses - Weaver 07/15/2019 - UPDATE - Hi, it's me, Weaver! It's summertime, and the livin' is easy. I mean, it really is easy. I'm such a chill doggo! Nothing fazes me, except if my meal is late! I do loooove to eat. I was a chunky boy, but foster mom has been keen on monitoring my eating (boooo), so I've slimmed down a bit just in time for speedo season! Speaking of speedos, I look pretty fly in mine! I am a little leaky, but the speedo solves that issue! See my wizardly eyes? They may be cloudy, but they don't stop me! I can go up and down stairs easily once I learn the pattern of the house. I get along famously with my foster doggo brothers and all 12 of my feline sisters and brothers. Sometimes I get a swat from one of them if I stumble into them, but it's ok, I understand. I just keep on keepin' on! I love to be where my humans are. My foster mom calls me her "velcro noodle". I like to follow her around the house. I like slow, short walks. I am a senior guy, so I can't do the long walks anymore. But I'm just as happy lying out on the patio with my foster family! 04/27/2019 - UPDATE - I'm Weaver. I love people! I have great leash manners and love to go for short walks, especially during the afternoon. I have some vision problems that make it easier for me to take walks during the day. I still have some vision and have learned the steps in my foster family's house, so I get around pretty well. I am a little hard of hearing, but my foster says that is not problem. I do like to eat and will finish off my food and the other dog's food if Mom isn't watching! I have run of the house, but as a senior guy, I wear a belly band to make sure that there are no random accidents. I am also crate trained, if you need to keep me safe while you are out. INTAKE INFORMATION: Hi Everyone! My name is Weaver, and I just arrived at CSAC from a shelter. Right now, I am in the caring hands of one of the great Vets that work with the CSAC. They are checking me out and making sure I am healthy. I am blind and deaf, but no worries, I get around just fine. I love to eat, and I love to explore. I am house trained, and I let you know when I have to go outside. Everyone says I am sweet and gentle. I am visiting an eye doctor because I have a little elevated pressure in my one eye. I need a family who will help teach me a new home and give me lots of love. For more information about this dog, email our Adoption Coordinator. Our adoption process starts with an application.
