Story
Hey, I'm Dutch! Sorry, was that too bold?? Hi... my name is Dutch. I'm a very timid Collie mix boy. I am quite unsure about new people, but I don't have a mean bone in my body. I just steer clear of anything or anyone that I don't trust. I'm starting to open up a little bit with some of the staff here at HSNEI, but even with them I'm not 100% sure "how to dog". I started to play a bit the other day, but I got a little overwhelmed so I stopped... However, I am taking treats and giving kisses to humans that I like and trust. I know with a lot more love and the right family, I can and will be the best boy ever!! Dutch's adoption fee is $200 which includes all of his vaccinations, dewormer, monthly flea and tick prevention, Heartworm/Lyme testing, neuter, microchip and general care while with HSNEI. If you are interested in adopting Dutch please fill out an application online at www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/HSNI-A-626 or stop by the Love & Friendship Adoption Center to meet him!

Story
Raiden is a Collie mix, about 8 years old. He is house trained and good with kids and other dogs once acclimated. He does have one bad shoulder due to accident, so he can't go for super long walks. Unfortunately I'm unable to keep him due to housing. Please call or text for more details.

Story
Bear is a very energetic dog. When we bought him they told us he was a German shepherd/collie mix. Our family is very busy and lives in town. He does not get to run and work like the breed needs to. He is loyal and protective. We have 3 children under the age of 10 and he has done good with them but I think he would do better with teens or adults. He likes to chase our cat and will not leave him alone- so I think a home with out cats would be better. I think a home on the farm would be the best where he can work and run. He is protective so I think he would make that farm a safer place. We have started training him- he knows how to sit, come, and lay down. He is house trained.

Story
Estrella (pronounced Estreya) is a 2-year-old, attention-loving Collie with definite opinions.  For example, squeaky toys don’t impress Estrella, but she loves stuffed animals and crackly water bottles. When given opportunity, Be warned, Estrella enjoys counter surfing and sometimes makes a mess of things she finds. She is shy when meeting new people, prefers women rather than men, and she wants to know when people are approaching her.  Although she knows several commands, this smarty chooses to ignore them unless a treat is offered.  Grooming can be a challenge because Estrella is terrified of water and hates having her backside brushed.  Estella loves going for walks., and her perfect home will have a fenced yard where she can play fetch.  She prefers a female owner who gives lots of belly rubs, love and attention.  Due to her loud bark, apartment life would not work well for her.  She does well with children of all ages and gets along with cats and other dogs. Following is some information from Estrella's foster:   1). Estrella is very fearful of men. 2). Estrella will guard her food and toys from dogs and people. 3). She's okay with playful cats, not so good with elderly, ornery, get off my lawn type cats.  4). Good with dogs her size or bigger.  5). Estrella is shy around strangers in general, but warms up quickly to women.  6). She appears to be crate trained.   7). She picks up on things really quickly.  She is potty trained and leash trained. 8). Lastly, and most obviously, she's absolutely gorgeous and really sweet. Just LOOK at that face! The suggested adoption donation for Estrella is $450, which is TAX DEDUCTIBLE, and goes toward providing supportive services to animals in the home, as well as the high cost of vetting our animals in rescue.  If you would like to welcome Estrella into your home, please begin by submitting our adoption application.  The adoptions for all of our animals will take place in the Omaha, NE area and must be done by the adoptive family in person. We do not ship or deliver. Story
My name is Greta. I need to find a forever home, with a place I can run. I love to run. I will come if you call me. I would love to live with someone who likes to run too. A farm might be nice too. I am a female. I am a smooth collie. I am 3 years old. I was rescued from a puppy mill by a nice lady. I was very scared but she is helping me. She has introduced me to a new world I didn't know was real. People of all sizes, little people and big people, short and tall. She taught me to get in a car. That was very scary because a car moves and goes fast. She showed me something with 2 wheels called a bicycle and motorcycle and golf carts. This world is really big and it so different than the the cage I lived in for so long. The lady taught me how to play. I go outside to go to the bathroom. Except when I am sick I sometimes have an accident. Please consider making me you forever friend. I think I may like to live on a farm or ranch.I would have to get to know the animals but I am smart.
