Story
Estrella (pronounced Estreya) is a 2-year-old, attention-loving Collie with definite opinions. For example, squeaky toys don’t impress Estrella, but she loves stuffed animals and crackly water bottles. When given opportunity, Be warned, Estrella enjoys counter surfing and sometimes makes a mess of things she finds. She is shy when meeting new people, prefers women rather than men, and she wants to know when people are approaching her. Although she knows several commands, this smarty chooses to ignore them unless a treat is offered. Grooming can be a challenge because Estrella is terrified of water and hates having her backside brushed. Estella loves going for walks., and her perfect home will have a fenced yard where she can play fetch. She prefers a female owner who gives lots of belly rubs, love and attention. Due to her loud bark, apartment life would not work well for her. She does well with children of all ages and gets along with cats and other dogs.
Following is some information from Estrella's foster:
1). Estrella is very fearful of men.
2). Estrella will guard her food and toys from dogs and people.
3). She's okay with playful cats, not so good with elderly, ornery, get off my lawn type cats.
4). Good with dogs her size or bigger.
5). Estrella is shy around strangers in general, but warms up quickly to women.
6). She appears to be crate trained.
7). She picks up on things really quickly. She is potty trained and leash trained.
8). Lastly, and most obviously, she's absolutely gorgeous and really sweet. Just LOOK at that face!
The suggested adoption donation for Estrella is $450, which is TAX DEDUCTIBLE, and goes toward providing supportive services to animals in the home, as well as the high cost of vetting our animals in rescue.
