Meet Brady!  He is almost a year old, medium sized, Collie/Dogue de Bordeaux mix. Brady was abandoned with his littermates when they were just tiny pups. Brady has a sweet demeanor and is a little timid when you first meet him but he warms up quickly and then loves attention and snuggles.  He also enjoys his dog foster friends.  Interested in a meet and greet? Story
FINN IS IN A FOSTER HOME LEARNING MANNERS AND LEARNING TO TRUST HUMANS. He was seized in a cruelty case, but was not abused, per se, just terribly neglected. FINN NEEDS SOMEONE FAMILIAR WITH RESCUED DOGS AND SOMEONE WITH A LOT OF LOVE, TIME AND PATIENCE. He is doing so well in his foster home but still has a way to go. We believe Finn is a collie mix and a few people have suggested he might have Anatolian Shepherd in him. He is GORGEOUS! The vet places Finn at about 6-7 months of age. He is currently 45 pounds, but is still thin. Despite what has happened to him, Finn is a DOLL. Very sweet and loving and wants your attention. Story
Gia is a newcomer to our organization, we are still getting to know her, but so far she is very beautiful and quite agreeable, loves people and walks.  On walks, she is very much into sniffing and checking everything out.  She pays particular attention to squirrels and we believe she would love to catch one more than anything!  She takes outdoor traffic noise and other loud sounds totally in stride.  Gia is calm on a trail.  Does not react to other dogs.   She does not, however, appreciate attention from other dogs.  Gia will do best as the only pet in the household.   Once inside, she is funny and silly and  ready for belly rubs and treats and being one on one.  Gia will do well with someone that wants to spend time being active outside.   We will update this bio as we learn more about her.  One thing we know is that cats are a no.  To see this sweet girl in action, check out the video below.   ##562261##

Story
Bree is a shy, sweet girl. She takes a little to warm up people, but once she does, she loves with all she is. She is not a fan of males and prefers to be around women. Bree does seek attention from the man in the house, but does it with her tail tightly tucked under her. She does not have an aggressive bone in her body.  She enjoys her daily *short* walks. Bree does have some back issues that require daily pain meds to manage. Because of this, she will not make a good long distance walking/running partner. She does love to play, and does have some energy. Don't let her age fool you. Bree does love other dogs. Having a calm, laid back dog around seems to give her confidence. She watches and learns from them. She tries to play with the resident dogs, and will push them around with her nose (a border collie trait) . She has also learned from the resident dog how to be "vocal" when playing...so they can sound pretty intimidating...but it is all show.  Bree loves to lay by you while you watch tv, sleep right by your bed, so close that you step on her when you get up. She will follow you to the kitchen, the bathroom, outside. She just longs to be wherever you are. Bree love, loves, LOVES food. She is a counter surfer and will be sure to check out ANYTHING (food or not) that you leave within her reach on the counter.   Bree is completely potty trained and does not need to be in a crate. She is NOT a fan of them to be honest. The perfect dream home for Bree would be with a family that has another laid back dog to hang out with and someone who will just love on this sweet girl in her golden years. ##443458##

Story
Rusty is a sweet five year old Kelpie mix that had a rough start in life.  He was kept as an “outside” dog, and he never received any of the attention that he so desperately craved.  Every time someone came outside, he would get so excited that he would jump on them and quickly was labeled as a bad dog.  He was surrendered to his foster family in November 2019, and is absolutely loving life indoors at his foster home.  With a little training his jumping has already gotten much better, and it seems like Rusty would excel doing agility.  He absolutely loves to play ball and fetch.  Rusty is doing well with his playful foster siblings, TMHPR alums Ruby and Jackie, and he also has a one year old little boy to keep him on his toes (and his tummy full).  Rusty is getting very attached to his “people” and would do well in a home with another playful/confident dog and older kids.  He likes to play hard, so little kids and cats are probably a no-go for him.  He would prefer an owner who is home more often than not, but he does know how to use a dog door and is quickly learning to potty outside only.  Right now, Rusty is home for about 4-5 hours at a time and has not been destructive nor has he shown any signs of separation anxiety.  Because of Rusty’s background, he is a little nervous around strangers and proper introductions should be made. To meet Rusty please fill out a no-obligation adoption application at tmhpr.com/adopt. Please visit our website at tmhpr.com for more information. If you are interested in meeting one of our pets, please fill out the on-line adoption application on our website. Dogs Puppies (under 12 months): $300 Dogs (over 12 months) $250 Large-Breed Dogs (over 75 lbs) $275 Cats Kittens (under 12 months) $125 Cats (over 12 months) $100 Rescued Declawed Cats* $145 * TMHPR does not endorse the declawing of cats Safe pet home visits & vet checks are required. For this reason, we only adopt locally - in the Dallas area. For more information about our rescue organization and our available pets, please visit tmhpr.com.
