Story
Gia is a newcomer to our organization, we are still getting to know her, but so far she is very beautiful and quite agreeable, loves people and walks.  On walks, she is very much into sniffing and checking everything out.  She pays particular attention to squirrels and we believe she would love to catch one more than anything!  She takes outdoor traffic noise and other loud sounds totally in stride.  Gia is calm on a trail.  Does not react to other dogs.   She does not, however, appreciate attention from other dogs.  Gia will do best as the only pet in the household.   Once inside, she is funny and silly and  ready for belly rubs and treats and being one on one.  Gia will do well with someone that wants to spend time being active outside.   We will update this bio as we learn more about her.  One thing we know is that cats are a no.  To see this sweet girl in action, check out the video below.   ##562261##

Story
Assistant chef, Sadie, helping me with the lunches again. It’s our morning routine. She sleeps in her crates, goes potty outside, helps in the kitchen, loves our dog, snuggles on the couch and is an all around great girl. Sadie has been through somethings and is learning to trust so she can be a little weary at first. But the warm up with people is pretty quick. The warm up with dogs is a little slower. Once she knows they aren’t going to hurt her, she will be their best friend and even a bit submissive. Her reactions are a big act to cover up her fear. She loves to play in the yard and is very fast. She enjoys a good bone to chew on and is still a puppy at heart- probably because she never got the chance to be one. If you are looking for a sweetheart like Sadie and have a little patience- the payback will be huge.  Sadie is 2-3 years old and weighs 34 pounds. She photographs big. She is surprisingly small in person. Sadie is a cattledog and pit mix, short in stature but solid in frame. She has a thin, sparce, brindle coat and is not a big shedder. Story
HI!, I’m Caramel and I love treats and belly scratches. If you show me affection I always am sure to return the love with licks and kisses. I am a shy dog but that doesn’t stop me from being open to meeting new people. I never bite and I am a good listener. I am trainable and am in need of a new home with more space for me to run around for exercise. My owner is in college now so it can get really busy, so I need someone who can still give me time and love when I need it. Could you be my next owner? Fill out the information on the application so you can meet me and find out!

Story
Rusty is a sweet five year old Kelpie mix that had a rough start in life.  He was kept as an “outside” dog, and he never received any of the attention that he so desperately craved.  Every time someone came outside, he would get so excited that he would jump on them and quickly was labeled as a bad dog.  He was surrendered to his foster family in November 2019, and is absolutely loving life indoors at his foster home.  With a little training his jumping has already gotten much better, and it seems like Rusty would excel doing agility.  He absolutely loves to play ball and fetch.  Rusty is doing well with his playful foster siblings, TMHPR alums Ruby and Jackie, and he also has a one year old little boy to keep him on his toes (and his tummy full).  Rusty is getting very attached to his “people” and would do well in a home with another playful/confident dog and older kids.  He likes to play hard, so little kids and cats are probably a no-go for him.  He would prefer an owner who is home more often than not, but he does know how to use a dog door and is quickly learning to potty outside only.  Right now, Rusty is home for about 4-5 hours at a time and has not been destructive nor has he shown any signs of separation anxiety.  Because of Rusty’s background, he is a little nervous around strangers and proper introductions should be made. To meet Rusty please fill out a no-obligation adoption application at tmhpr.com/adopt. Please visit our website at tmhpr.com for more information. If you are interested in meeting one of our pets, please fill out the on-line adoption application on our website.
