Story
Please contact Nunnallee for more information about this pet.Tony came to us from local shelter. He is very in-tuned to his people. He gets along with other pups and enjoys a good romp and playtime. Tony is making progress with his manners, and is generally an easy keeper! At 5 years, Tony is still quite an active boy, athletic and agile, making him an ideal candidate for a running or walking buddy. He can be a rascal around cats (the chase is just too much fun to resist) so a no-cat home would be best! While Tony adores attention from the kiddos, he’s not quite aware of his own exuberance, and would be a better fit for a home with older, respectful children. Tony has waited a long time for a forever home. We know his his family is out there, just waiting to connect! We will miss him!  We would love to hear how he is doing should you choose to send updates!

Story
This is Leah. Leah is a sweet one year old collie/Shepherd mix. She has all her shots and is spayed. We adopted Leah but a lot has happened after. Both my husband and our losing our jobs, new jobs and all of a sudden my apartment complex has restrictions even after I called when we met her and they said it was okay. Leah is very very sweet but has a separation anxiety which means she’d do better with someone with more time or another dog. I have so much info on Leah but this is the best lap dog. She’s a couch potato and just loves to be loved and returns it.

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.I am a fun loving, smart guy who would love to have an active family.Smart, Cute, Sweet - what more could you want from an adorable puppy.    Bethoven is everything,  plus a cuddle bug He loves to play.  The water hose is his favorite toy!   He knows sit, crate, and wait, learning to 'Sit Pretty' and sometimes will give Paw.  He loves to tease the other dogs and loves to cuddle. Bethoven needs an active family and a doggy door with another dog in the house to be happy.    He is a joy to have in our foster home.   Please contact  app@aarfhouston.org for more information about this dog. You can apply online by clicking on Application . Once your application is approved, we will schedule a meet and greet at one of our adoption events. Thank you for considering a rescue! The adoption fee includes vaccinations, Bordetella, de-worming, rabies, spay/neuter and microchip. There is a an additional $12.99 fee for Home Again for a lifetime registration of the microchip. Puppies cannot be adopted outside of the Houston area until they are spay/neutered after they are 4 months old. It is against the law in the State of Texas for a rescue not to be sterilized so we have to make sure it gets completed and that we have record of it. NOTE: In our bios, we provide information based on our volunteer's experience with a particular dog; such as temperament, training, and ability to get along with others. AARF is a 501(c)3 Non Profit, all breed, no kill organization. Our group is always in need of donations in order to continue to give the needed medical care to our rescues. Adoption fees do not begin to cover all of the medical costs. Any donation , no matter how small is a big help and is greatly appreciated. Please help us to continue to help them. Thank you.

Story
Hey y'all! The name is Greta and I am just the sweetest little thing! I'm a bit new around here so you will have to forgive me if I am still learning my manners! Foster mama says I have been doing a great job at potty training. I let her know when I need to go out and I am learning the crate ain't so bad either! I am the perfect mix of playful and snuggly puppy - truly the best of BOTH worlds..a rare combo if I do say so myself! I love playing with other dogs and toys, but I would be fine by myself as long as you give me all the love and attention this true southern girl truly deserves! If you're interested, put in your app soon because a gal this sweet and cute won't be around long! Greta is a Female Collie/Shepherd Mix that we estimate to be born around 2/13/2024, and as of 4/27, weighed 15lbs.

These pups are in Tomball, Texas too!

He walks well on a leash and is crate trained. He is always wagging his tail and happy. He likes playing with other dogs and he gets along with cats too. Louie is looking for an active family who will love and play with him, as well as, continue with his training so he will be well mannered and obedient.  Estimated birth date:  March 2018 Approx.
