Story
Meet Layla! This beautiful girl is happy and playful.  She loves people and is a kind and affectionate girl. Her look is so unique. DNA says she is a mix of collie and husky but we are not sure we see that! Layla is nearly 3 years and weighs 56 lbs and a show-stopper with long legs and a sleek and graceful face. She is smart, easy to train and well-mannered. She knows sit, down, shake, touch, come, leave it, roll over, shake and treat. She will love a home with a yard and another dog in the home to play with.  It is so fun for her! She needs a proper intro but then she is set for fun.  Layla is good with other dogs and enjoys playing. She can be frustrated greeter with other dogs when she is on the leash so a gentle introduction is best.  Layla will love a more quiet household. She loves a consistent schedule and adores when her people are home with her. She does not love car rides and being out and about a lot.  Layla is vaccinated, chipped and spayed.  Her adoption fee is $395. We cover the medical to prepare the pet for adoption and the adopt donations go directly to cover those costs and range from $295-$495.  Thank you for stepping up to save a life! To expedite to meet with this dog, please go to our site at www.savinggreatanimals.org and fill out an application. We look at the first applications to arrive, so we hope to hear from you soon!

Story
ADOPTED- AND AWAITING TRANSPORT*****Chloe is a gentle and sweet-natured young collie mix who loves to meet new people and gets along well with other dogs. She is calm, smart and attentive to her people at home, but also loves to go on walks and would make a great hiking companion. Chloe is friendly to everyone she meets, and immediately wins new people over by approaching them gently to say hello. Chloe was found wandering the desert near a neighborhood, starved and scared. Once she was rescued, she easily integrated with her foster pack, making friends quickly and without a fuss, and now spends her days playing with her six doggie friends, or just curled up on the couch for a snuggle with her BFF, Stanley. Chloe had a fracture at the base of her tail from a previous injury and had to have her tail amputated, so she can’t wag it to let you know how much she loves being rescued, but she is better now and wants you to know she is a happy girl who is looking forward to meeting her new family! Chloe is housebroken, walks well on a leash, knows how to sit for a treat, and has recently started agility training at the Baja Dogs training class. She is looking for a home where she can share all the love and snuggles she has to give with her family. Are you Chloe’s perfect match? NOTE: In many cases, these dogs are located in La Paz, BCS, Mexico in foster homes. We transport them to their adopted homes via air transport with a volunteer.

Story
Hi! My name is DK and I am available for adoption.I was brought in by a good samaritan on September 13, 2023.I weigh 51.5 lbs and am considered a `medium breed` dog.I haven`t shown too much interest in treats or toys while at RASKC. My caregivers mention that I`m all about the people and not materialistic :)My caregivers also mention that I appear to be potty-trained!I can be shy at first, but I warm up quickly and then show my energetic side. I tend to calm down more when the people around me stay calm. I do best when I have lots of exercise and something to keep my mind busy. Due to that face I would do best in a home with older children. My personality color is RED. I am a spirited dog with a fun-loving personality! I am still working on my manners, so I would do best with a family who is willing to work with me and help me become the best dog I can be!

Story
Alita is an Australian Cattle Dog Mix who’s about 2 years old. Unfortunately, she doesn’t fit our lifestyle and we would like an active family who’s able to be patient and work with her. She doesn’t chew on furniture and rarely barks. She could benefit from obedience classes and possibly anxiety medication. She’s a sweet energetic girl who loves people, but most likely won’t do well with other animals in the home.

Story
Hi! My name is Snap and I am available for adoption.I was brought in by my previous owner on September 15th, 2023 because my previous owner did not have time to house train me. I lived in a home with other dogs and young children.I am an affectionate lovebug who would be thrilled to cuddle up with you at home!My caregivers have noticed that I seem to do well with other similar sized dogs. When meeting dogs in a new home, I would do best with a slow introduction.Because of my shy nature, I would do best in a calm, quiet home.I am a puppy!! I will need to find a home where someone is available for me in these early days. It is important to be consistent with me and socialize me so I can have the best companionship with people and other animals. Puppies require patience because everything is brand new so I will need some TLC while I learn. I am not potty trained or crate training yet and teaching me those skills will help tremendously on a road to success! If you and your family are ready to fall in love my awesome self, please check me out!!My personality color is BLUE. I am a gentle and loving dog who likes to take things slow. I may get nervous in new situations, so I am looking for a family who understands that I might take some time to warm up. Once I get to know you, I will be a very devoted friend!
