Story
Meet Layla! This beautiful girl is happy and playful.  She loves people and is a kind and affectionate girl. Her look is so unique. DNA says she is a mix of collie and husky but we are not sure we see that! Layla is nearly 3 years and weighs 56 lbs and a show-stopper with long legs and a sleek and graceful face. She is smart, easy to train and well-mannered. She knows sit, down, shake, touch, come, leave it, roll over, shake and treat. She will love a home with a yard and another dog in the home to play with.  It is so fun for her! She needs a proper intro but then she is set for fun.  Layla is good with other dogs and enjoys playing. She can be frustrated greeter with other dogs when she is on the leash so a gentle introduction is best.  Layla will love a more quiet household. She loves a consistent schedule and adores when her people are home with her. She does not love car rides and being out and about a lot.  Layla is vaccinated, chipped and spayed.  Her adoption fee is $395. We cover the medical to prepare the pet for adoption and the adopt donations go directly to cover those costs and range from $295-$495.  Thank you for stepping up to save a life! To expedite to meet with this dog, please go to our site at www.savinggreatanimals.org and fill out an application. We look at the first applications to arrive, so we hope to hear from you soon!

Story
ADOPTED- AND AWAITING TRANSPORT*****Chloe is a gentle and sweet-natured young collie mix who loves to meet new people and gets along well with other dogs. She is calm, smart and attentive to her people at home, but also loves to go on walks and would make a great hiking companion. Chloe is friendly to everyone she meets, and immediately wins new people over by approaching them gently to say hello. Chloe was found wandering the desert near a neighborhood, starved and scared. Once she was rescued, she easily integrated with her foster pack, making friends quickly and without a fuss, and now spends her days playing with her six doggie friends, or just curled up on the couch for a snuggle with her BFF, Stanley. Chloe had a fracture at the base of her tail from a previous injury and had to have her tail amputated, so she can’t wag it to let you know how much she loves being rescued, but she is better now and wants you to know she is a happy girl who is looking forward to meeting her new family! Chloe is housebroken, walks well on a leash, knows how to sit for a treat, and has recently started agility training at the Baja Dogs training class. She is looking for a home where she can share all the love and snuggles she has to give with her family. Are you Chloe’s perfect match? NOTE: In many cases, these dogs are located in La Paz, BCS, Mexico in foster homes. We transport them to their adopted homes via air transport with a volunteer.

Story
Hello! My name is Kensington Layne! I’m a 5yrs old Border Collie mix! I love to cuddle. Go on walks and play with other doggo’s. I don’t really like cats though...they are too sneaky. I like older kids, but I’ve never met a baby or a toddler. Going for rides in my foster daddy’s truck is fun too! I have all my vaccinations and I’ve been spayed. I’m just waiting to find my fur-ever home!

Story
Animal Profile:  Rio is a 1-year-old Texas Brown Dog (paperwork says Cattle Dog mix) that was originally adopted from Texas in August 2019. Unfortunately it wasn’t a good fit for the family, and Rio joined our rescue this winter in search of his forever home. Rio can be nervous with new people, places and things, but his foster family is dedicated to helping him overcome his insecurities so he can be a more balanced dog. He looks to the resident dogs for guidance, and we are looking for a home with a fellow canine companion for him to bond with. Rio is great with other dogs and loves to cuddle once he’s warmed up to you. In true herding dog fashion he does have an interest in chasing small animals and will do best in a home without cats. Rio is smart, food motivated, and eager to please once you have earned his trust. Our ideal home for Rio will have some herding breed experience and a willingness to help him continue to build his confidence through training and love. Since Rio can be nervous with quick movements and loud noises, he will do best in a home without children that's not in the city. Rio requires a securely fenced yard. Seattle Foster Update: Rio attended the Smooch a Pooch Wine Tasting event with 100 people and dozens of dogs and did great; he was nervous at first but made friends with several new people with treats. He watched all the action and handled it really well! We're so proud of his progress! Among our other outings, we've taken him to the beach, and he's a total beach dog! He loves going in the ocean, romping in the sand and running on the beach with us. Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $400. This includes his neuter, all core vaccinations, microchip, and health evaluation. Your donation fee may be tax-deductible. Dog Gone Seattle is a 501c3 organization. Needs special attention, Spayed or Neutered, Shots are up-to-date,
Story
Meet Electra JC (she is one of our special needs dogs due to being deaf) Ever herd (yes spelled wrong purposely) ever herd of Chanel No. 5 parfum. Well, I’m going to make my own perfume line and call it *insert your name* No. 1 because you’ll be numba one in my book. I could sniff you all day and put a dab of your scent behind my ears and on my wrists, or I guess front ankles in my case. I do have to be upfront with you immediately and let you know that I am deaf. I do not react at all to loud sounds or strange noises. This is good news if you are the type of person who doesn’t like a yappy dog that alerts you to ever phantom sound, leaf drop or toad fart. I won’t annoy you. And don’t worry, scents I am a dog, my other scents are heightened compared to a human. I use my sniffer and my eyes to get along just fine. I know I am not quite lap sized, but I fancy myself a lap dog and a girl can do anything if she sets her mind to it. I LOVE LoVe LUV ADORE humans. I love spending time in the yard and when I see a random passerby, I don’t bork or guard the house, I would make a lousy guard dog. I run right up to the gate and set my ears back as a peace sign and wag my tail to wave hello hello new friend, please rub me, pat me, be my friend. I am 3 years old and about 30-35 pounds and potty trained. The ladies are guessing on my mix, but they went with Cattle Dog/Shepherd mix, because I have the shape of a pocket sized Shepherd, but I have tiny dots and freckles on my perky ears indicating that I might have some cow girl jeans….or genes….in my hairytage. I have been around other dogs for a long time. I am good around dogs that leave me alone and pay me no mind. I have a 2 foot imaginary bubble zone around me and I like for dogs to keep out of it. I am just not interested in playing with rumble and tumble fools. I am a gentle lady who prefers to spend my time right smack dab next to a human. I don’t have time for silly play. I don’t do toys either. Scents I enjoy being so close to humans. I do not enjoy being in the crate but Foster Mom is working on that and expects to get me accustomed to it. Foster Mom is also working on communicating with me by hand signals, as words just don’t work on ears that don’t work. I try hard to be a good girl. All I really long for is a home with LOVE, attention and a spot right next to you where I can curl up and cuddle. Basics: Electra JC GDR-A-3696- female, 3 years, 30-35 lbs, Cattle Dog/Shepherd mix, good with dogs that ignore her and really does not want to play or interact with canines, really more of a people person, very loving, wants to be a lap dog, Velcro dog, potty trained, working on crate training, special needs deaf GOD'S DOGS Rescue, in San Antonio TX, does not have a shelter. Our dogs are raised in foster homes in the San Antonio area. ALL OF THIS IS INCLUDED IN THE ADOPTION FEE OF $400 for dogs over a year old, which also includes the cost of transportation to the assigned location.
