Hi my name is Jyn and I'm a coonhound mix. I'm a sweet girl that loves to get attention, but my coonhound nose makes me curious. I have been known to dig out under a fence to go exploring. When my nose is working on all the different smells, my ears don't always work to listen to my people to come home. Children, cats and other dogs are no problem for me. I'm house broken also. Hi, I'm Rose, I'm a gorgeous little hound who absolutely loves to run around with all my dog friends in the big yard here at HSNEI. I was found as a stray so the people here don't know too much about my history but they know I'm incredibly sweet. I don't know many tricks yet but I'm working really hard to learn them. I would love a home with other dogs to help me come out of my shell some more and to learn about why other dogs love treats so much. I would enjoy going on long walks as well as cuddling up with you on the couch after I smell every single thing in your house. Nicknames: Rosie, Rosiepoo, RoRo Potty trained: Yup Tricks: Working on it Gets along with other dogs: Absolutely Gets along with cats: Unsure Gets along with people: Always Treats: Not my thing Favorite things: RUNNING AND SMELLING Rose's adoption fee is $225 which includes all of her vaccinations, dewormer, monthly flea and tick prevention, heartworm/Lyme testing, spay and general care while with HSNEI. She does need to be left alone while she is eating. A home that has experience with Coonhounds would be ideal since she can be stubborn and needs obedience training. Hi, My name is Maria. I got Daisy about a year ago. She was just over 1 year old. I'm assuming she came from a divorced home. My friend originally got her and her kids were mean to her so she was very nervous about being there with them. They pulled on her ears and mouth and swatted her with a fly swatter. My friend did her best to punish the kids but there is only so much you can do. The kids are 1 & 3 years old and Daisy just didn't work out at their house. I had lost my husband 1 month before I got her. I offered to bring her home with me and find her a new home because the situation was not good at my friends house. This dog is extremely smart and LOVES to hunt. She belongs with a hunter and an active person who has time and LOVES to hunt too. We are close but I cant meet the demands that she needs. So im looking for a hunter to adopt her and give her a wonderful forever home and someone who will take her hunting and I do believe she is trained to bear hunt too!
