You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Hey guys!! My name is Forest and I am an insanely handsome and sweet guy. I am around 3 years old so not an annoying puppy and not an old fart. They THINK I am maybe a pointer/hound mix. I weigh about 50lbs but  could stand to gain a few more pounds. When I first got to Tired Dog I was A MESS. I had no hair and I was covered in sores and had heartworms. The nice folks at TDR nursed me back to health and now I am stunning. I have finished my heartworm treatment  and I am ready for my new home. A little about me. I am smart, goofy and loving. I am always up for an adventure. I am active and love to run but I also really enjoy just snuggling. I love my people very much, SO much that I don’t really want to share them with anyone else. I am good with most dogs but some I am not crazy about. So we would have to try it out. I haven’t been around cats but judging by my personality I may not be good around them since I do like to chase small animals like squirrels. I am quiet which is great but you know what they say about the quiet ones. Sneaky very sneaky I think that is where the hound comes in. For example, If you leave stuff on the counter I might sneak away with it when you aren’t looking. If the house seems TOO quiet you might want to check on me lol So, I need a home that is dog experienced and can dog proof. Don’t want to set me up to fail If you are looking for a friend to go running, hiking or a long walk with I am your guy. Hopefully you still want to chill and watch tv with me too. But remember with my breed I am active and need stimulation so if ALL you want to do it lie around I might not be the perfect mate for you but if you want to mix it up then give me a shout!!! I am up-to-date on vaccinations, neutered, microchipped and have received the 12-month heartworm shot!! I will need my follow up heartworm test in a couple of months but Tired Dog can help with that. My fee has been sponsored which means that whatever you were going to spend on my adoption fee you can just spend on getting me awesome stuff for my new home!!! *** THIS IS NOT A DARS ANIMAL.  PLEASE CONTACT THROUGH THE NUMBER LISTED BELOW.  ***Hello, I have an 8 year old coon hound mix that I need to have re-homed. We found her in our driveway years ago, and tried to find out where she belonged. After a few days, we took her to the vet and he said that she was too young to be away from her mother and that she also had parvo.By then my husband had fallen in love with her and told the vet to do whatever was possible to save her. My husband passed away two years ago and she’s had trouble adjusting. She recently snapped at two visitors in my home and with toddler-aged grandchildren who are terrified of her, I am afraid of a serious accident. I have tried everything, including sending her to Critter Camp for two weeks training. The trainer said that she could tell that Lady was very alert and smart, but used to being around a male.  She knows most commands, but is also very stubborn at times. She loves being outside, especially when it rains. She does not like doghouses, but prefers being on a covered porch or in an open shed .Lady is up-to-date on all vaccinations, heart-worm negative and spayed. Please help me find her a good home.
