Story
Adopted Skadi from a couple with very young children last July. They stayed the children startled her and she went to nip at them. Skadi is very independent, sweet, smart, strong-willed with a great appetite. She loves sunbathing in the yard or the deck. In the hot weather, she enjoys curling up under the cool deck and sleeping. Most of the time she prefers to stay outside during the warmer months. Especially at night. But, when she is ready to come in at night, it’s usually around 3 AM. During the cold months, she only likes to go outside to go to the bathroom and then curl up on her bed most of the day. She doesn’t like toys. But loves rubs and treats. Unfortunately, both my son and I work a lot and go to school. I recently ended a relationship and now it has become financially tight to buy food, meds and vet appointments. Skadi would be great for an older couple or individual who is home most of the time. I’m sad to let her go but, she deserves more attention.

Story
Skadi is a very kind and gentle dog and extremely mild mannered. She loves to eat and sleep! She also loves sunning in the backyard and has a special love for UPS and FedEx trucks. We adopted Skadi 2 years ago from a young couple with very young children. She is up to date with all of her shots and is very clean. I am moving to Wilmington and unfortunately my new job will require for me to travel alot.

Story
We recently took in this gorgeous coonhound, ”Buddy”, to foster for a couple that found him as a stray. Buddy is about 2-3 yo. Meanwhile, we found out Buddy is heartworm positive. We have raised money for his treatment, so that is taken care of. The treatment begins on Nov 11. He is also not neutered, but the vet recommends waiting until treatment is complete. Buddy would be happiest in a home with a large fenced in yard and plenty of room to play. HE ALSO LOVES OTHER DOGS AND KIDS! VERY GENTLE.❤️

Story
Basil is a little English gentleman and was named after the first actor who ever played Sherlock Holmes, Basil Rathbone. He is your typical silly hound dog and enjoys his daily walks and regular trips to the dog park. He has been part of my family for about 5 months since rescuing him from the Wake County Animal Shelter. Unfortunately, Due to his separation anxiety he needs a family who will be patient in training, In order to eventually be left home alone. He has never met anyone he didn’t like and wants to be part of a family who will love him unconditionally.
