I AM IN FOSTER CARE! PLEASE FILL OUT OUR ADOPTION APPLICATION, ONCE PRE-APPROVED, GIVE US A CALL AND WE CAN SET UP AN APPOINTMENT FOR YOU TO MEET ME! I am 26 lbs., 6 years old, and l am looking for my forever home. Adoption Donation: $300 All dogs are microchipped, neutered/spayed, current on all vaccines, heartworm tested and started on Tri Heart Plus & Vectra 3D. All household members and any current household dogs, need to be present at the time of adoption. Our website is always kept 100% up to date with who is currently available. All new animals (40/week) are added to the site 2 weeks before their availability date to give you time to fill out your adoption application and get the family ready to come out to the shelter that day. As soon as animals are adopted, they are moved to the Adopted Pets page so if they are still listed on the Adoptable Dogs or Cats page, they are still available. So keep any eye on the site for any animals being added as available for adoption as new animals are added everyday! We would recommend if you haven’t done so already that you submit a general online adoption application with us so it is on file for when you are ready to come out and adopt. The adoption counselors will be able to show you many that would be a good fit for your family.  Please fill out an online application and we will give you a call as soon as we receive it. Story
Sampson is currently living in a foster home in Madison, Wisconsin. Sampson found himself at the Conroe shelter outside of Houston. The shelter is not his scene. He was terrified and wouldn't stop shaking. A Lola's Lucky Day volunteer happened to see him and his BIG brown eyes and couldn't leave him at the shelter. Once in a foster home, his little sweet personality began to show. It has taken some time for Sampson to seek out affection from his foster mom. He doesn't mind being held and he will give kisses. He will need an adopter who is willing to be patient to gain his trust. He is worth it. Sampson took immediately to the other dogs in his foster home. His foster home is like a dog park and he loves to play with his friends. An ideal home for Sampson would have a playful dog companion. We have not had the opportunity to see him around cats or children in his foster home. Sampson loves to be in the company of his people, but he doesn't beg for attention. He loves to get chin scratches on his termas. Sampson walks beautifully on a leash and loves going on walks in quieter places: loud noises scare him, but a walk in the park or places with little traffic are his favorite! Sampson is very treat motivated. Sampson is a year old and could possibly be a Corgi mix. He is a special little guy who is deserving of all of the love in the world. Interested in adoption? Wisconsin applications are priority, but Illinois applications will be considered if no small children are present in the home, the home is owned, and excellent vet reference can be provided. We cannot process applications from other states. Our process includes an approved application, reference checks, a homevisit, and once approved a meet and greet with the dog.
