Story
I obtained Khloe through a mutual friend that rescued her near a dumpster in 2011. She was a puppy when I got her so she’s approximately 8 years old. She is super sweet but also very timid and scares easily, which is why she needs a new home. I have a grandson now who lives with me, and Khloe doesn’t do well with small children. She is terrified of my grandson since she is so skittish and has snapped at him several times. I’ve tried keeping them apart but it doesn’t work all the time. She needs a home with maybe an elderly person looking for a companion or a family with older kids.

Email:  ddrtxinfo@gmail.com                 Primary Website:  www.DDRTX.org Meet Bella Muffin.  This sweet little 9 pound, red, lady has been through some health things but is doing much better now.  She has Pulmonary Hypertension that requires 2 medications which she takes with no problem as she thinks they are snacks.  She has been on these medications for 2 months and feels so much better.  Her vet has cleared her for adoption.  Like most people or dogs on meds, it is recommended that she visit the specialist twice a year to make sure her medications are still working great.  Bella is so sweet.  She loves to be by her person.  She loves to be outside or in your lap.  Due to an old back injury, she does need more frequent potty breaks, so someone home more often would be best.  She sleeps quietly in her crate.  She is great in a car.  She is laid back but she also still likes to play.  She will keep you laughing.    If you are looking for a sweet, gentle, dog.  One that minds her manners, wants love and to be with you, then Bella is your girl!Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet. Email:  ddrtxinfo@gmail.com                 Primary Website:  www.DDRTX.org Meet Sandy Mae!  She's a gracious, senior lady standard dachshund mix.  While we don't know her back story, she's obviously had a loving home at one time.  She came in spayed, heartworm negative, and completely house trained.  Sandy is in the early stages of dog dementia or CCD - Canine Cognitive Dysfunction.  But don't let that concern you, she is a wonderful, sweet, and calm pup!   She recognizes her foster family and is happy to meet new people.  She follows her family around and hangs out where her foster sibling dogs are.  She loves taking naps in her dog bed and keeps herself busy with kongs and exploring the house. She gets along with dogs - big and small - and doesn't mind the cat either.  She explores the foster home often and is always wanting to be where you are.  She doesn't bolt out the door and will stay by your side when outside.  She doesn't care too much for toys, but will look longingly into your eyes for treats! If you would like to meet this beautiful lady, she can be seen at various adoption events around San Antonio or schedule a meet and greet!  If you would like to sponsor her while she waits for her forever home, please click the Sponsor This Pet button above.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.
