Story
Angie is an affectionate 1 1/2 year old pup who will love her people with all her heart. She is always smiling and happy to come along on any adventure. Angie thinks she is a lap dog and will crawl up to snuggle if you let her and often leans in against you leg to be petted. She is housetrained and walks pretty well on the leash. She would also make a great walking or jogging partner. Angie is currently being fostered in Lakeville for a 501c3 rescue and has now been fully vetted and spayed. She enjoys playing with dog toys, especially rope bones and is a very smart dog. She's looking for a home with an active person to take her for daily walks. Please email for more information on how to adopt this gorgeous dog.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Ozark is doberman/shepherd mix.  When she came to Minnesota she was underweight, now she is up to 70 pounds.  She is still quite lean so could stand a couple more pounds.  Before coming to Minnesota she had a litter of puppies, but now has been spayed.   Don't know which breed it comes from but Ozark has a curly tail that is shifted to one side.  So she can look a bit lop sided.     Ozark is a playful sweet girl.  She requires slow introduction to new dogs but once the introductions are over she is game on.  Ozark plays in the yard with her foster brothers - the mastiff and boxer.  She is a talker, she will try to convince us to give her more treats or get the boys to play.  Ozark plays with her foster dad in backyard racing around.     She walks well on a leash and knows basic commands.     After a busy day outside she is content to lay on the floor and chew on a rope toy.  Ozark also likes to cuddle on the coach when we watch TV.   Ozark is kennel and house trained.  If a treat is placed in the back of the kennel she walks right in.  She prefers a plastic kennel rather than a wire one. She can get excited easily and would do best in a home with children over the age of 10. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Interested in adopting this lovable animal? Please go to our website www.wagsmn.org and fill out an Adoption Application.  Once the application is processed, a Wags representative will contact you, answer any questions you may have, and set up a time/location for a meet and greet!  A home visit is required prior to adoption.  Thank you for choosing to adopt! Breed and temperament determination:  Wags & Whiskers Animal Rescue attempts to determine breed and temperament using a combination of looks, information provided to us at intake, and our experience with the animal while in our Rescue.  We do not guarantee this determination.

Story
Introducing Mama Theresa JuM The enemy of my enemy is my friend. That an ancient pawverb. Since the humans named me after Mother Theresa, I am feeling it necessary to have my bio start with a teachable moment. Possums are our friends. Repeat. Possums are our friends. Possums eat ticks. Humans and dogs hate ticks. The enemy of my enemy is my friend. I am currently on antibioticks for a tick borne disease called Ehrlichia pronounced errrrlickya. Furthermore, the xray vision photos that Dr G took also revealed more evidents, dents in my past. Tadah you have an old injury on your front right leg and right hip. That explains the limp. No surgery required but I am taking some glucosamine in the hopes that it kinda just glues by bones back together. Obviously due to that Vet report I have not been living on easy street. I am a sweet loving 4 year old 50 pound Doberman Labrador mix. Dr G even threw out Greyhound as a guesstimutt due to my elegant snout and super lanky legs. Super model mutterial right here. But wait, there is more, I am a litteral Mother and not in the way of Mother Theresa or Mother Nature. I actually was rescued from Laredo, Texas, along with a brood of 5 gorgeous babies. Unlike my puppies, I am crate trained and good on leash. I am good around other dogs and humans. In fact, I ADORE humans. I would prefer a home that does not have rowdy playful dogs because I am not too active due to my gimpy legs. I would enjoy a home with a place to relax and an evening stroll with my human or canine pal. My puppies are now weaned due to their shark teefers. They can eat the hard kibble. I am ready to start my own life. A better life than the one I existed in prior to rescue. My tick disease will clear up with the antibioticks, but my limp shall remain. I am hoping that you and I can make new memories to replace my first 4 years of things that I would rather forget. Cliff’s Notes: Mama Theresa JuM- sweet loving female 4yr black Lab/Doberman/Greyhound mix, 50 lbs, did test positive for Ehrilichia and is receiving treatment, has a limp on the right side due to past injuries that do not require further treatment, good with dogs and humans, sweet, not too active due to gimpy legs
