Story
Meet Hogan! He is an 8-9 mos old neutered male Doberman Pinscher mix that weighs 54lbs. He came in on 5/6 to Mesquite Animal Services as a stray. He is an extremely handsome pup that appears to have been well cared for. His fur is clean and soft, walks great on a leash, and may be house trained. He also knows the sit and paw command so he is a smart cookie! With his age you have to remember he is a puppy with puppy energy. He is so fun to watch as he romps through the yard, then they turn into zoomies!! He is a growing puppy so he will become larger. He loves treats and will jump on you and for more attention. If you have another dog in the home please be sure to ask the shelter for a dog test. He would need to live inside, in a home, not an apartment due to how large he will become. Having a secured backyard to play in, but live inside to enjoy being close to his human companion, and may enjoy a toy or two. This guy pup would make a wonderful addition to a loving family. Please come meet him!!

Story
Hi! My name is Remy (Remington when I'm in trouble) and I am a foster dog in need of a forever home! I am about 3 years old and I am a purebred Doberman. I'm a pretty big guy at 95 pounds and I'm so tall that I hardly have to try to lick my foster parents in the face! I'd love a big yard and an owner that can keep up with my crazy high energy level. I'd also love having brothers and sisters to play with! I am a great home defender with a deep loud bark and a scary look, but I'm really a total sweetheart. I'm even nice to cats! You may notice that my ears are a little wonky and that my back is covered in scars; this is because my previous owners were abusive to me and I'm a little wary of strangers because of it. You may also notice that I'm lacking in fur. I am a blue Doberman and I suffer from genetic hair loss due to this, but I am perfectly healthy and I love wearing sweaters! Please help me find my forever home! (I don't have behavioral issues, my mom selected the wrong option!)

Story
Kyoto, who is 4 years old and now weighs 62 pounds, is a very special girl who was found by one of our volunteers clinging to life, abandoned on the streets with extremely severe heart worms. Sadly, as a direct result of the heart worms, she now has congestive heart failure which is being managed with daily medications. She, however, does not know that and it does not slow her down! This girl is so gentle, loving and tender. She loves everyone she meets and absolutely loves toys! She loves playing tug-o-war with her foster siblings and curling up for naps! She has started learning to love walks as well! She would make such a loving addition to any household and would also make a great therapy dog! We are a RESCUE GROUP, not a shelter, and all of our animals are in foster homes. To start the adoption process, email us at adoptions@earstexas.org requesting an application. Submitting an application does not commit you in any way, but helps us make the best match between people and our available dogs. Your current or past dogs must be inside dogs who have been spayed/neutered and are on heartworm prevention. All of the dogs in our program are inside dogs and are completely vetted including all vaccinations, spayed/neutered, free of internal parasites, microchipped, heartworm negative and on prevention before adoption. Our adoption process includes an application, check of vet records or personal references, interview, neutral site meet & greet with the dog and your family, and a home visit.

Story
Meet Buddy, a seven year old Hound / Retriever / Shepherd mix. Buddy has been at the Rescue for a while now and even though we all love him to pieces - he really wants to find a loving furever home. Buddy enjoys nice walks and to cool off in one of our ponds. That's the way to make it through this Texas summer, he says. He loves to play tug with a rope toy, plays with a football, loves to walk on a leash and go in our woods to play. He is a great dog, and will be a terrific protector of his home and family. He is a playful boy with a medium amount of energy and gives sweet kisses too. Buddy has a slight food aggression. This can often be controlled with separate areas for feeding in a home but at the rescue we free feed so Buddy lives alone. Pls. come visit our lonely boy and give him some lovin'! This will be a great dog for a single girl that wants to feel protected and have a great companion and jogging buddy...If you would like to adopt this sweet furbaby, please complete our pre-qualification application at this link: https://bit.ly/2CCVFPV#AdoptDontShop #TBCAnimalRescue

Story
Colt was found by a friend on the side of the road as a puppy. My son cared for him for a little less than a year, but he is in the Navy and now stationed in South Carolina. Colt sits and shakes and is housebroken. He is like a toddler though and likes to run and play. The house requires “baby proofing” to some degree and with two other kids in sports, work and the mud run in the backyard because I have another large dog, we just can’t keep him.
