Story
Nena is a feral pup that came to us from AARCS in Calgary. This little sweetheart is not ready to go to a home just yet. Initially, Nena was terrified of humans coming too close. She would shake and cower in her corner. Leashes and going outside were a no-go as well. However, with a lot of hard work from a couple of our amazing volunteers Nena now allows select people to leash her and walk her just past our gate. She has taken a car ride or two, but is still very unsure about it. At this point Nena will go outside on her own, but getting her back in is an everyday challenge! Nena may be on to something - the great outdoors are where she feels most comfortable and humans must gain her trust before she lets them in. She will run up to a familiar face to lick their hand or take a treat before quickly retreating to a semi-close, safe distance to watch them do their thing. Although she has a hesitation for humans, she has an affinity for other dogs! We are continuing to work with Nena to help our little lady find her forever home.

Story
Floki came to us from a rescue in Saskatchewan with his buddy Ragnar. This gentle soul loves human companionship. He would like nothing more than a simple play-date or cuddle with one of his friends. Although his coat may show a lot of grey, this loving man is only 7 years old. He enjoys the outdoors and exploring the property. Floki also appears to only have half of his tail which provides entertainment for all who get to witness his hilarious helicopter tail wag at full speed when you come to visit him. He has quickly warmed up to his new surroundings and is winning over the hearts of many of our volunteers and staff. If he sounds like a good match for you or someone you know, call or pop by the shelter today to learn more!

Story
Spartan came to us as a transfer but originally came from the Northwest Territories! This friendly dude LOVES the outdoors as well as long pats and company from anyone willing to spend time with him. He has a bit of resource guarding that we are working on and gets a bit lonely sometimes but we have faith that this cute pup will be an amazing addition to anyone's life. Although this fluffy man loves a good dog companion, he cannot go to a home with any cats or small animals. This handsome boy is still waiting for his forever home, so come by and see him today!

Story
Ragnar came to us from Pelican Narrows, Saskatchewan with his buddy Floki. He is a big softy who doesn't really understand why he has to stay inside when there are piles of snow to lay in! Ragnar will take any opportunity to find some cool snow to sprawl out on and slide around on. He is very quiet and seems to love people. On walks he likes to press himself tightly to your leg and he even tries to go between your walking feet! Ragnar is very stressed in his new surroundings, and he is going to take some time to warm up to the idea of coming inside. Stay tuned to see how he is doing!

Story
Panther was surrendered to a front-line rescuer in the Meadow Lake, SK area and is a happy, healthy, and VERY friendly pooch! You will fall in love with Panther the moment you meet her! She wants nothing more than your love and attention so she can weasel all the belly pats and head scratches from you. When she is bored with the petting she loves to show her humans all of her favorite toys they can use to play with her. We do not know much about her history, but she is reactive to other dogs while on leash. She lived in a foster home as an only pet and was great around their 1-yr-old child! Panther is very toy and treat motivated so we have no doubts that with a little training this lady will be able to work on her leash reactivity. If you are looking for an affectionate, active dog Panther might just be your girl!
