Story
Scrappy-Doo - Available For Adoption. . Scrappy-Doo, 1 year old terrier/Chihuahua mix - 13 pounds. Scrappy is a medium energy dog who loves toys, playing fetch, walks, and snuggling. You will be tired of throwing the ball long before Scrappy is tired of bringing it back to you. . Scrappy doesn't know how to play appropriately with other dogs, but gets along fine with easy-going smaller dogs that accept his jump-on-your-head style of play. He is untested with cats, but tries to chase birds and jack rabbits on walks. Scrappy knows sit and stay, and needs to keep working on his basic obedience and loose-leash walking. . When given space and time to approach you, Scrappy enjoys people of all ages. When he's anxious, he jumps up and give frantic face kisses. When scared, he has snapped at hands, though has not bitten anyone. . Scrappy is not much of a barker, but will alert when someone comes to the door. If you praise him, he will stop barking to run over for scritches. He is comfortable in a crate, but prefers sleeping in your bed, under the covers, snuggled against your body. He will paw at the blankets to be allowed to crawl under. . We are looking for a quieter home in the Edmonton area for Scrappy, perhaps a retired couple or someone who works from home, and either a home without children, or older children who will respect Scrappy's boundaries. He is a very sweet dog that would make a fantastic addition to the right home. . Because of Scrappy's anxiety during meet and greet events, we invite serious adopters to contact the rescue at heartprintsdogrescue@gmail.com to arrange a time for Scrappy to come visit the homes of suitable adopters. . Scrappy's adoption fee is $550, which will go towards paying off his neuter surgery, DHPP and rabies vaccinations, deworming, and microchipping. . Our rescue requires our adopters to enroll in force free training with Joanna at For The Love Of Paws for an additional cost of $200.

Name: Bobby Dob: August 24 2019 Breed: Lab X Gender: Male Good with dogs: yes Good with cats: yes, learning how to approach Good with kids: yes Activity Level: moderate Foster Location: Fort Saskatchewan Helloooooo! My name is Bobby! I am a super fun and happy guy! I love to run with my foster dog brothers in the yard, cuddle with my foster mom & torment my foster cat siblings by approaching quickly and then barking at them. I am learning that they don’t really like that but I still like to try when my foster mom isn’t watching me. I love going on little walks and exploring my neighborhood. I am getting so much better being left alone in the crate but will howl repeatedly if I know my human’s still in the house! I don’t like being alone but I’m learning that my foster mom always comes back home. I am getting much better at house training but will still get excited and have the odd accident. I’m looking for my forever home, ideally with another dog buddy that I can hang out & cuddle with! Could that be you??If you are interested in any of our adoptable dogs or puppies please full out an application on our website https\://www.hopeliveshererescue.net or our Facebook page. Please be advised that our dogs and or puppies adoption fee is $450, unless otherwise stated. The adoption fee includes spay/neuter, microchip, deworming and up-to-date vaccinations

Story
Hello there! 👋🏼 My name is Spot and I'm shopping for a new pad. I am 9 years young but I feel like a mature 7 years. So I'm a tad overweight with a very minor heart murmur but that gives me no trouble, some might say I'm a bit of a fixer upper. But hey, i still have all my hair! So anyhoo i just moved into this new foster home and I adjusted pretty quick to the new norm. There's these big dogs here, they wanna play with me, but I snarl just to mess with them haha. Sometimes I sit next to them calmly just to really throw them off. Good times, good times. In all seriousness, is there a spot in your heart & home for me? I'm house trained but not kennel trained (please don't make me sleep in there). I am pretty chill and am happiest being near you. You can take me in the car and I won't bark just consider me more of the strong silent type. Being in this house full of dogs made me think that being around other dogs might not be too bad after all. One more thing, I love to walk! Sometimes i can keep a fairly good pace too. I'd like to highlight the "sometimes" & "fairly" words, you might want yo write that down. I guess I will leave you with some things to consider. I have great big puppy dog eyes, you can teach an old dog new tricks, and I humbly ask you to give this old soul a home. Take care.
