Story
Belle is a sweet-natured puppy who loves to play. She is good with kids, other dogs and cats. Her mom is a Basenji mix, and her dad is a lab. Her mom is a rescue, and we discovered she was pregnant after we rescued her. We would love to keep Belle but have too many dogs. She is up-to-date on her shots, but is too young to be spayed at this time (she is just over 2 months old).

Story
Sunny is a quiet and laid back puppy. He is very sweet and gentle and a little shy. He might take some time to warm up to you, but once he does he will be very loyal. His mom was a rescue who surprised us with puppies a couple months after we took her in. His dad was a Lab/Hound mix. Sunny is over two months old and up-to-date on his shots.

Story
Odie was adopted at my local animal shelter. He came from a home that was hoarding over 100 dogs. He really loves the company of other dogs. He’s very sweet but timid. He will come to me and especially likes women. I think he deserves the best life possible considering what he’s already been through. It’s obvious that he is lonely in our backyard and our other dogs will not stay outside because they have always been inside dogs. He will not come in the house, it makes him very nervous because he’s always been an outside dog. Due to a loss in my family my life has become very busy and stressful and I do not have the time anymore to play with him and give him the attention he deserves.

Story
Please contact SSRR (Adoptions@southernstatesrescuedrottweilers.org) for more information about this pet.              SSRR provides FREE  transport to our approved adopters         Moxian was picked up as a stray in Northern VA after being on his own and probably had an abusive owner at some point in his life.  In the two months since we have fostered him here in Hubert, NC he has shown us what an amazing boy he truly is and will be!    Moxian does get nervous with people he doesn't know, so he does need lots of patients, but he  is working on continually building up his confidence to most normal situations. Once he does trust you the sky's the limit with this 4 years young man.  Every morning he gets up at 6:30 am to potty and have breakfast with his two foster dog brothers and a 6 year old human foster brother.  In his foster home his dog foster brothers are a six year old Aussie Shepherd Beagle cross and a three year old Rottweiler. He does seem to tolerate a lot from the youngest.  Moxian does play well with them, but you do need to watch as he can get a little rough, and he does talk during play! Moxian loves to play with toys on his own and his foster dad’s feet from time to time.  He will chew on bones and ram horns, he does not like squeaky pig type rubber toys.     Moxian loves attention and will climb into your lap for it.  He does need someone with experience in his breed and that is willing to take the time to get to know his various quirks.  He is your typical Rottie, very protective of his home and pack. Anytime a car door closes or he hears something out of the normal, he will bark very loudly and deeply.     Moxian is wonderful on a leash.  He does not pull nor does he pay any attention to other dogs when they are barking at him (he will go sniff something if he catches a scent though).  He does go into his kennel at bedtime and anytime his pack member’s are away.  He is incredibly smart and quick to please!     Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.                       Step 1:   Please complete the adoption application in full; incomplete applications WILL NOT BE PROCESSED Step 2: Our Lead Adoption Coordinator will contact you and confirm your application has been received (please use our Contact Us form if you have not gotten a response within 7 days). Step 3: After you have received confirmation from our Lead Adoption Coordinator, your application will then be forwarded to communicate with one of our Adoption Coordinators.  The Adoption Coordinator is your point of contact during the adoption process,  Step 4: Once the Adoption Coordinator has finished processing your application, a volunteer will be selected to contact you to schedule a home visit. Home visits allow us to see where the dog will live, discuss any questions you have and review our adoption contract. Step 5: Once the application process is completed, the adoption package goes to the board of directors for a 24 hour review. SSRR is very serious about the homes our dogs are placed in and want to ensure they never end up homeless again.  If you have any questions, please email us at rottie.info.ssrr@gmail.com. Story
Please contact SSRR (Adoptions@southernstatesrescuedrottweilers.org) for more information about this pet.              SSRR provides FREE  transport to our approved adopters       Hello my name is Keesha! I am currently part of a loving family of 2 adult humans, a human foster brother and a doggie brother. I am very shy when you meet me but after a couple of days I warm up to people and love cuddles, belly rubs, and attention.  Sometimes I become a 75+ pound lapdog.  I'm nervous around new people and new experiences, but I warm up after a while.  Not in a bad way, I just get scared and try to walk away or if I see a new person in the driveway I will bark at them to scare them away!  I have not been exposed recently to small children, but I love my teen neighbors next door and meet them at the door when they come over (but my brother gets a little jealous). I love rabbits and squirrels because they are probably very tasty, I don't know for sure because my family doesn't let me have them, but when I see them I try really hard to get them. I love playing fetch with balls and sticks and my other toys.  I also love playing tug with my brother and going for walks, with or without my brother, but I pull on the leash. My family and I are working on that though. I have been doing well with my brother, however I need to be properly introduced to new dogs.  My foster parents waited about a week to decompress me before I met my brother without a barrier.  I just finished up my heartworm treatment at the end of December 2019 and hopefully I will be heartworm free when I am retested in June.  Overall, I am a fun loving dog that would make a good companion.  I am fairly low maintenance and I believe I would be adaptable to any family environment. Story
Please contact SSRR (Adoptions@southernstatesrescuedrottweilers.org) for more information about this pet.              SSRR provides FREE  transport to our approved adopters         Bobby is housebroken and good with other dogs. He is still a puppy at just under a year old. He needs someone to work with him on his manners and guarding his food. Since he was found as a stray, and extremely thin, he most likely had to struggle to get food.   Due to his young age and energy level he would do best in a home without small children. His previous foster had small children and he proved to be just a bit too much for them.
