Story
Hi there, I'm Elijah, a bright-eyed yellow lab mixed with a touch of mystery. At around 2 years old, I'm still discovering the world around me. My journey took a detour when I found myself running loose, but fate intervened when I was impounded on April 17, 2024. Those days on the run were tough, but I'll never forget the moment they lured me in with vienna sausages - a feast fit for a king, especially after a week of scrounging.I'm grateful to say I'm up to date on my vaccines and even tested negative for heartworm. Phew! Currently tipping the scales at 41 lbs., I may not be the biggest pup, but I've got a heart of gold. I find solace in my kennel, especially when the staff members shower me with reassurance that brighter days are ahead. While I haven't had the chance to strut my stuff in a temperament test just yet, mid-week promises an introduction to other dogs and cats. I'm ready to show everyone what a likable fellow I am - a true champ in the making. Who knows what adventures lie ahead, but with a wag in my tail and a spirit as resilient as mine, I'm sure to make some pawsitive impressions along the way.

Story
Hi there! I'm Jade, a playful and loving pup with a heart of gold. My journey began when I found myself wandering the streets, unsure of where to go. Luckily, a kind guardian angel spotted me and whisked me away to safety. It was October 20, 2023, when I entered the doors of the animal shelter, a place that would become my temporary home.At the shelter, I received the care I needed. I was vaccinated and tested negative for heartworm, thanks to the dedicated staff who ensured my health and well-being. However, the shelter was overcrowded, and my guardian angel knew I deserved a chance at a loving home. So, she opened her heart and home to me, becoming my foster parent.Since then, I've been living in the warmth and comfort of my foster home, surrounded by love and care. I'm the only dog in the house, which means I get all the attention and affection I could ever want. My days are filled with walks, playtime, and cozy snuggles with my angel. But even though I'm happy in my foster home, I know there's a forever family out there just waiting to meet me. I'm eagerly awaiting my chance to find my perfect match, and soon, I'll be updating my website with new photos to show off just how adorable I am. So if you're looking for a loyal companion to join your family, look no further than me, Jade. I can't wait to meet you!

Story
Hi there, I'm Cheddar Hillshire, and I'm here to tell you a little bit about myself!I may have a bit of a unique name, but don't let that fool you-I'm just your typical, lovable pup looking for my forever home. I'm not entirely sure about my breed mix, but some say I might be part Border Collie and part German Shorthaired Pointer. Whatever the case, I'm a spayed lady who's all caught up on my vaccines. Now, I've had a bit of a rough time with heartworm, but don't worry! Once you bring me home, those pesky heartworms will be a thing of the past. The folks here have promised to cover all the treatment costs, so you won't have to worry about a thing.Since being in my foster home, I've really started to come out of my shell. I used to be a bit shy, but now I'm as friendly as can be! I love people and other dogs alike, and I've been told I'm quite the social butterfly.Walking on a leash used to be a bit of a challenge for me, but I've been working hard and getting better every day. And guess what? I've even mastered the art of sleeping in bed with my foster family-I just can't resist a cozy spot!If you're looking for a sweet and affectionate companion who's ready to bring some love and joy into your life, look no further. I can't wait to meet my forever family and start our adventures together!

Story
Hi there! I'm Bonnett, a lively pit bull mix pup with a heart of gold. My journey hasn't been easy, but I'm resilient and full of love. I came into this world facing a tough battle with demodectic mange, which left my skin feeling like it was on fire. Thankfully, I found my way to safety on March 30, 2024, after being discovered as a stray on Goodwin Avenue.Despite my rough start, I'm a sweetheart through and through. I may be short and stout, but that doesn't stop me from showering affection on everyone I meet. Oh, and dog beds? Count me in! There's nothing like curling up for a cozy snooze. You might notice I have a unique hop when I move around-it's because my back legs are a bit bowed from a lack of exercise. But don't worry, I've been assured it'll improve as I grow. I'm eager to explore the world and stretch my legs properly! While I adore playing with other dogs, I had to wait until my health was in better shape before I could join in the fun. Now that my mange is under control and I'm all vaccinated up, I'm ready to romp and play like never before. Cats? Meh, they're cool, but they don't really catch my attention.I do have one thing to work on, though-I tend to get a bit too excited during playtime, and sometimes I forget to dial it back. I'm still searching for that perfect playmate who can help me learn some manners, but I'm confident I'll find them soon. With my fur growing back nicely and a newfound sense of peace, I'm ready for a fresh start. Are you ready to welcome a lovable goofball like me into your life? Let's embark on this adventure together! But don't let my past troubles fool you! With the right care and love, I'm on the path to recovery. Thanks to antibiotics and my first set of shots, I'm already feeling better. It won't be long before I'm fully furry again, just give me about a month. Although I won't be spayed until I'm healthier, I'm eager for the day when I can romp and play with other puppies after my second round of vaccines. For now, I'm patiently waiting in isolation, but that won't dampen my spirits. You see, Mange may have been brought on by stress, but I'm leaving those dark days behind me. I may have had a rough start, but I'm ready to leave my troubles behind and embrace a brighter future. So why not take a chance on me? Give me a try, and I promise you'll be rewarded with endless love and gratitude. Together, we can overcome any obstacle, and I'll show you just how resilient and loving a little pup like me can be.
