Story
Here's a very special Lady. She's very sweet and loving. She loves to give big hugs. . She loves to ride in a golf cart or run with the cart. She is a fast runner and loves to show her stuff. She has separation anxiety and needs to be crated if left alone. She is crate trained, and a covered crate helps her with the anxiety. She's also afraid of thunder and other loud noises. When she detects a storm coming, she will bring you her thunder shirt. In addition, she benefits from an all natural medication to calm her in stressful situations. Her perfect home would be with a farm couple where she could be outside at will and come in for her loving. She enjoys playing with non-dominant dogs, most cats, and all kids. Soft-spoken and gentle-touch humans are her preference. She has lots and lots of love to give.Adoption fees include spay/neuter, microchip, up-to-date vaccinations, and current preventatives for heartworm and flea/tick.On-line applications can be completed on our websiteEffinghamAnimalRescue.com

Story
Hi my name is Ginny I am 4 years old. I am a pit lab mix. I love people and other dogs--if we meet properly. I growl a little, but still wag my tail and don’t show my teeth. I seem to know sit and down. I am all black with a white stripe down my neck and under my chin. I have a pretty white patch on my chest. As are all EARS dogs, she is spayed, chipped, vaccinated, heartworm tested and on monthly preventatives for heartworm and flea/tick.If interested in adopting Ginny, please fill out the on-line application at EffinghamAnimalRescue.com or call 217.500.0231 with any questions.Adoption fees include spay/neuter, microchip, up-to-date vaccinations, and current preventatives for heartworm and flea/tick.On-line applications can be completed on our websiteEffinghamAnimalRescue.com

Story
Copper, a red heeler, knows how to sit and shake for treats. He has done very well inside, potty trained, likes to lay on the couch and sleep with you. He gets along with other dogs but likes to eat alone. He doesn’t mind cats inside but likes to chase them outside. He would do best in a home with no children or older ones. He prefers not to be caged or locked in a room. Had been outside most of his life but has done amazing in the house. As are all EARS dogs, he is neutered, chipped, vaccinated, heartworm tested and on monthly preventatives for heartworm and flea/tick.Please feel free to complete an on-line application on our website. Story
JJ was adopted a couple years ago. He is mostly an outside dog, but enjoys an evening in with the family. He is super friendly and well-mannered. Every one that comes up to our house comments on what a nice dog he is. However, he is a chewer. He eats everything. His new home should have a safe place for him to spend his time outdoors. He IS used to a wireless fence. His people would need to agree to let him come in a spend time with them.
