Story
DUKE *FOSTER NEEDED* Sex: Male Age: 6 years Breed: Lab mix We are in need of a foster home or furever home for Duke! Duke is a 6 year old male lab mix. Duke would be best suited in a foster home without young children as he sometimes forgets how big he is. He would also be best suited in a home without other animals. He is a very sweet, but does not like to be hugged. Cuddling is not his thing. He knows commands like sit.lie down, shake a paw and is pretty good on a leash. He is fully house trained. At the moment he is been housed in a boarding facility. Will you take a chance and open your heart and home to this beauty?

Story
Meet Ox! He is a sweet boy who needs an adopter who is willing and able to invest time with him. He is currently about 1 year old. Although his breeds are unknown, by personality and looks, he is possibly Border Collie x Jack Russel. Research on both breeds will help you understand him better. Ox lives with 5 other canines of various sizes, but prefers the big boys to wrestle with and can annoy the smaller dogs with his antics. He also lives with cats, full grown and kittens. He has tried to make friends with them but will mostly ignore them, he does however sometimes give them a little chase. Dog savvy cats would be preferred. Ox does well with kids, but can be rambunctious and needs supervision (as any dog should). He loves people and is happiest when getting scratches and belly rubs. Ox willingly goes in his crate at meal time, as he tends to want everyone else's food. When left home alone he is crated and will only whine for a few minutes, unless he knows you're home. Ox is technically “housetrained” but he marks his territory while in the house. In order for him to eliminate this behaviour he should be supervised in the house and corrected until he proves his leg can stay down. We have no doubt that in the right hands Ox will flourish. To adopt Ox please fill out an adoption application on Jenn’s Furry Friends Rescue’s website.

Story
REKO Reko is a single breed German Shepherd or a Shepherd cross displaying the looks and temperament of a German Shepherd. Reko is approximately 2 years old, neutered, fully vaccinated and in great health. Reko is now available for adoption to the right home only! Reko is very bright and has a high prey / chase drive making him unsuitable for a home with cats, rabbits, livestock, etc. Reko needs a home where he will be the only dog. Reko is a very high energy dog and very excitable. He will use his mouth when over stimulated or excited but not with aggression. This is a learned excited behavior that will require further training by his new owner. If someone doesn't provide Reko with a suitable outlet for his brains and energy, he will create his very own forms of "entertainment" which would likely be very destructive. Reko has so much to offer the right applicant! Besides being a beautiful boy, he has the brains and desire to do anything! Reko loves to learn new things and happily accepts new challenges. He loves the rewards of praise or treats but play time with a favorite toy is the best! Playing ball is his absolute favorite and he will retrieve the ball as long as you continue the game. Reko bonds very deeply with "his" people and there isn't much he won't do for you once he views you as his person. He is friendly but aloof with strangers although he is curious when meeting new people. Reko requires a strong leader or he will make behavior decisions on his own. Someone with a strong knowledge of the German Shepherd is necessary and someone willing to commit to a long term plan of continued training! Reko can do anything...agility, rally, tracking, scent work, GRC as long as he has the guidance of a committed trainer! Reko is house and crate trained and needs to be crated when his person is away. Reko needs to go to a home with no young children as he will mimic their excitement. In the right home, this beautiful boy will make the very best companion but he is not for just anyone! You must have knowledge and experience with this breed, you must provide strong leadership, and you must be committed to a long term plan of exercising his brains and body! If you feel you are the right home, please contact our adoption coordinator and she will be happy to arrange a meeting. Please note that we are not in any rush to have Reko adopted but we know and understand that he deserves his very own forever family. Email adoptmasr@gmail.com for more information.
