Story
Mel is a happy go lucky guy even though he was a dog that had been sitting in the shelter since before the hurricane, and his vacant spot will made room for other displaced dogs until their owners can find them! He has overcome so much, from mange (demodex, which is not contagious), to starvation. He loves people and his smile is sure to warm your heart. Mel is good with cats and dogs with proper introduction. He is a strong dog with a need to run. He is a chow mixed with cattle dog. He loves all female dogs but prefers male dogs that are smaller then he is. Loves water. Need someone who understands his breed type. Has responded well to the leash training. (p.s. his best friend is Elizabeth here at the rescue.)

Story
Annamoosh 2-3 yrs old Pit bull mix. Recently returned to ROAR after over 2 years in her adoptive home, so sad. As is typical for this breed she lives in the moment and has nothing but live to give. She is spayed, utd on all vaccinations and Heartworm preventative, and she has a serrestor collar on for flea and tick prevention. She is a strong dog that likes to jump up and give kisses and she is apt to pull on a leash. She absolutely loves people. Would need a home with older kids because she could accidentally knock little ones down. She lives, yes lives, to ride in the car and I think could ride forever. Hopefully she will ride forever with you.. She has some allergies and needs regular Apoquel which runs about $70 a month.

Story
Hi there my name is Rambo and I am looking for a forever home. I am 5 years old and recently came to a foster home. My family had changed and couldn't keep me anymore. My dad and I played all of the time. According to my foster mom maybe a little too rough. I am learning that there are other ways to play with people. I am very loyal to my family. I find cats annoying. I believe my best type of home would have teenagers and adults or a single guy that wants a buddy to ride along in the car and hang out with me. I am neutered and UTD on everything including hw preventative. I'm waiting to meet the right forever person or family
