Story
Brick was taken in by Milwaukee animal control (MADACC) after his owners were found to be neglecting him. I adopted him 2 years ago from MADACC as a companion for my dog. His history and the severity of his neglect was not disclosed when I adopted Brick but he is missing his ears due to either frost bite, dog fighting, or both. The dog handler at MADACC told me that Brick was good with other dogs. He immediately got along with my dog and they still get along really well. Despite this, I haven’t been able to introduce Brick to many other dogs...it’s not his fault and I’m happy to discuss this further in person. He is an amazing dog...smart, sweet, funny, and loving. He is also stubborn, independent, and out-spoken. He does best with males and needs a dominant authority figure. I absolutely adore Brick but he is extremely anxious in the car and my life requires a lot of travel. I have tried to work with him in the car for 2 years and it hasn’t gotten easier for him. He is super special❤️

Story
Hi! My name is Seymour!  I weigh 51 pounds. Just look at my handsome face! I am an 8 year old Shar-Pei Lab mix.  I had a rough life before I was rescued by Project Hope.  I was underweight, had several bite wounds on me, and didn’t have a lot of fur – just look at me now. Don’t let my age fool you, I am still full of spunk and love to play.  I love daily walks on the leash, but I like to spend most of my time lounging.  I get along great with cats, dogs and kids. Since I am getting up there in age, I am on glucosamine for my arthritis, also with my age, I am a little hard of hearing but can hear if you speak up a little. I would love to have a nice fenced in back yard to run around in safely because I’m not sure I would always hear a car coming.  The friendly doctors at the vet’s office said that I need grain free food because I am allergies, I am currently eating Nature’s Recipe.  I am currently being treated for heartworm, but that doesn’t slow me down.  I am house broken for the most part, but I do have an accident every now and then. I do well in a crate while you are gone to work, or I can be left out of my crate and just lounge around the house. If you want to go for a ride – let me go with you – I love to ride in the car and smell the country air. I am neutered, up to date on shots and microchipped. My adoption fee is $250.00. You can apply to adopt at www.projecthoperescue.org. Or if you have questions, email projecthoperescue@gmail.com.

Story
Meet Samm. According to the paperwork from the animal shelter in Texas, Samm is a chocolate lab. Samm is very small for a chocolate lab standing at only 18' tall. The animal shelter is unsure of his age, but we know that he is fully grown and is an older dog. Samm has arthritis really bad in his back leg, and is on daily medicine to help this. Because of this, Samm isn't very active and likes to lounge in his orthopedic doggy bed most of the day. Samm loves treats, and loves to have his belly rubbed. Because of his arthritis, Samm isn't into walking very far, but loves car rides. Samm is neutered, up to date on shots and microchipped. His adoption fee is $250.00. If you would like more information about Samm, please email projecthoperescue@gmail.com. To fill out an adoption application, visit our website at www.projecthoperescue.org.
