Story
Ive owned my Heeler ( cattledog mix) for 6.5 years. She is very sweet, has energy and enjoys outside off leash play and feeling safe inside on a comfy bed at night. I am giving priority to an adopter who has a fenced in or safe outside area (land) for my dog. Lulu's breed needs offleash play , frisbee, ball more than just walking everyday. She likes trails, hiking, frisbee and running/jumping. Lulu would like to be the only dog in the home. She would do well with a single or couple who have the time and yard for her.

Story
Hello, please read the entire thing :) My family adopted Potter many years ago while I was in high school and he was never formally trained or socialized with other dogs. After I left for college, Potter's obedience and discipline was relatively obsolete, his exercise levels were pitiful and he was punished for bad deeds far more than rewarded for good ones. As a result, Potter is now 8 years old and has become a very good companion and family dog, but lacks in some areas that make him difficult in a one owner/ one person household. Potter has very high energy for an older dog and would thrive in a place with a fenced in yard, a large open area or as a running companion- things I thought I could give him better than my parents but have failed to. Potter is stubborn, but will love you unconditionally and do anything for you if you have a treat. He is a master guard dog if anyone enters the home unannounced and he has incredible patience with children. Please ask any and all questions!

Story
Finn is a very happy pup; I adopted him from a rescue agency about 3 years ago when he was 6 months old. It was difficult training such an energetic pupper but he has all of the basic training down. However he still has that energy and does not like seeing other dogs while on the leash walking, most likely stemming from when he was homeless as a puppy, so we are looking for a more rural home where he can run around outside but not be worried about seeing other dogs. At home he is very cuddly and will curl up with you on the couch. He loves treats and playing tug of war and fetch. He can seem stand offish at first but once he gets to know you he is a very sweet dog.

Story
One Sunday afternoon a woman was driving down the street and witnessed Rico get hit by a car. The car kept going, leaving Rico injured on the side of the busy street. Thankfully, this woman was BFFs with one of our fabulous foster moms. The woman and Rico's soon to be foster mom came to his rescue. They loaded him up in their car and off to the emergency vet they went. Although he was hurting, he showered them with kisses as if to say "thank you". Luckily, Rico was stable and only suffered from some abrasions and soft tissue damage. After some much needed R&R he felt like himself again. Rico is full of life and love for his foster family. He does prefer to be the only dog and would not be a dog that can frequent parks. Rico’s quirks stem from fear and anxiousness so he needs an experienced, stern and patient owner. He is typically very excited about everything but at first can be a bit anxious when meeting new people and can become uncomfortable. He does well with a solid routine and structure. Rico does know a lot of basic commands and is Easily motivated by treats and praise. Once you get past his quirks he is a very easy dog. Rico deserves nothing more than an amazing family to love him forever. If you'd like to learn more about Rico please email us at info@wilsonanimalrescue.com or jump start the adoption process by completing and application at www.wilsonanimalrescue.com/adopt.

Story
Georgia needs a new home asap. She was abused before we got her, she has behavioral issues left over from her life before us that have progressively gotten worse. She was about 2 when she came to us and has been family for six years. She likes kids and is good with them, it's just hard to get kids to understand they can't go up to her when she's sleeping. dogs are a hit or miss. Cats never bugged her, but she has become aggressive towards mine. Shes become food aggressive towards my other dog and grows at him until he moves. If you try to take the food away from her, she gets aggressive. She has started randomly nipping at visitors, even ones she Knows. the last time She saw a vet was when we got her and had her spayed. she tested positive for Lyme disease then. As much as we do love her, Its no longer safe for my children or ones that visit to have her in my house. but in the right atmosphere she would do great! This is a decision we've put off because we do loVe her.
