Well hello there! I’m Britta and I’m 10.5 years old. I am ½ of an amazing pair of Brittanys and we are looking for our forever home…. TOGETHER. My sister Becca and I used to live outside all the time but since we’ve lived in foster care we’ve learned to love to be inside and hang with our people. We like all people...me especially and I will stick by your side, follow you around the house, sit beside you on the couch and snuggle with you in bed. I like to be taken for walks, but I get excited and pull on the leash. Walks are exciting…what can I say? I also like toys…stuffies are the best. I like to unstuff them. I have a high prey drive so I shouldn’t live with a cat. My sister Becca and I would love a home where it’s just us and our humans. More love for us. We are very active for our age and love to run outside. Don't be fooled by the white in our face...we are young at heart! I used to have nasty heart worms in me, but NBRAN got me all fixed up and they are gone. I am spayed, up to date on all my vaccinations and overall very healthy. So if you are looking for aperfect pair of Brittanys to join your family….we are your girls. We will only go to our new home together…. together forever! Our adoption fee, as we are seniors, is $200 US each but if you are a senior too it’s $100 US each. We are located near London, Ontario, Canada but NBRAN can transport us up to 2200 kms or 1400 miles. Hi there! It's me...Becca! I am ½ of an amazing pair of Brittanys and we are looking for our forever home…. TOGETHER. My sister Britta and I used to live outside all the time but now we know what it’s like to sleep inside and we like it! I like to sleep in the room with my people but prefer a dog bed on the floor beside you. I like people, but I like my own space too. (you can cuddle with my sister though!) I like to be outside and watch the birds and the critters. We have a doggie door and a huge fenced yard so I can come and go so a fenced yard for me is a must. I love to eat. I was very sick when I had heart worms and was skinny…but I’m better now and I’m making up for lost time. I love to take your socks and to steal things off the counter when foster mom isn’t looking. I also pull on a leash when I walk. Hey…no one is perfect right? Like my sister Britta I'm pretty zippy for my age so I like walks and running outside to burn some steam. I like my foster family, but I can be nervous around new people that come to the house. I just bark at them a bit…that’s all. Foster mom says I'm "discriminating". I am spayed, up to date on all my vaccinations and overall very healthy. So if you are looking for a great couple of Brittanys to join your family….we are your girls. Story

Axel is a 10 year old grey brindle Shihtzu cross. He is a quiet boy who likes to be near his humans. He likes his walks several times a day and is quite active. He gets super excited when new people come to visit and will jump up, but does settle after a while. He likes to play fetch with his toys and will just run up and down the hall when he’s got a burst of energy. He will bark a little, but quiets down when asked to. He likes to cuddle on your lap and will ask for permission before doing so. He is good when left alone and completely house trained. He does have a collapsed trachea and will cough, but the vet tells us this is nothing that needs treatment, and must use a harness to prevent the pulling on his throat from a collar. He does have a chicken allergy, so any other protein in his diet is a must. He loves to sleep on his foster mom’s bed and settles quickly and sleeps the full night. He is up to date with his vaccines, neutered, flea treated and heartworm negative. An application to adopt me can be found at www.oxfordcountyanimalrescue.com. Story

Meet Sara! As a young pup, while asleep, a child jumped on Sara and startled/hurt her. She reacted by nipping the child. Sara was then confined to a crate as she was frightened of the child and would growl when the child was near. She was at risk of euthanized and was surrendered to the rescue. In her foster home, she has an older foster brother who she loves to rough house, chase and play with. She does resource guard and that is something her foster family is working on helping her with. She has grown into a lovely young lady who likes to be held and cuddled and her foster family is regularly reinforcing positive touch. She is nervous of strangers and will growl, but warms up if left to make the first move. She was not socialized as a young pup and is learning leash manners, to play cooperatively, how to 'slow' down with everything, and to be gentle. She would be best in a home with no children under 12 years. She will require a patient family, that will take the time to train her and understand her fear of strangers. Tulip is 3 years old and a chunky 13 lb. She loves dogs,cats and kids. Tulip is needy and loves attention. She does not have separation anxiety to the point that she ruins things, however she is a whiner and is always following you and pawing at your legs for attention. She needs a family that is home often and can give her all the attention she so much craves. Tulip is very social and great on a leash and harness. She says hi to everyone she meets and will be bff’s with every dog at the park and anyone willing to give her pets. She will quickly become the star of the show and a huge part of your family. Tulip would be a fantastic traveler and will go wherever you go, maybe we should have named her Shadow. Precious KiKi. Kiki is apx 9 years young, a short and round 8.5 pounds. Kiki came to us a mess with a severe fungal infection on her skin and a huge mammary tumor and hernia along with some dental issues. All have been resolved and Kiki is well on her way to a healthy happy life, even at 9 years of age. She does have bad knees (luxating patellas) in both rear legs but not bad enough to need surgery, she gets around just fine, does zoomies and runs around in the yard. She had surgery on hernia and tumor as well as a dental and was put on antibiotics for her skin for an entire month. Kiki’s skin is doing much better but she does have hair loss near her hind legs and bum that may or may not grow back. Kiki is super duper sweet once she gets to know you but if a stranger moves too fast with her and does not sweet talk her for a couple minutes first, she will pretend to nip, the ol’ chi chi warning air nip that says “I don’t want to bite you but I will”. Kiki has never bit anyone and is usually extremely well mannered and always wanting attention and love. No small children please. She is great with other animals and walks well on leash.
