Story
Hi, my name is Juicy and I am currently working towards living a healthier lifestyle! When I came to the shelter, I was morbidly obese. The vet thinks that I may have gotten this way because my hypothyroidism was left untreated. I`m now on a diet plan and medication that will help me live a longer & happier life! I`m a very happy girl, I love to throw my paws around when I`m excited and zoom around for short periods of time. I`ve met some dogs here and been great with them, so I wouldn`t mind living with another dog who will play with me! I do require daily medication but it is quite affordable and I PROMISE you I`m so worth it! For more information, please call the shelter at 519-685-1330.

Any applications we have received for our current dogs up for adoption will be kept on file and will be contacted once it is safe to reopen our adoptions.  Dogs that are currently in our foster homes will continue to be cared for by our amazing foster team.   We will continue to take in shelter dogs or emergency surrenders as long as we have appropriate foster homes available.** Name: Link Breed: Doberman/Lab Age: 10 months old Gender: Male Good with Cats: Yes Good with dogs: Yes Good with small children: No Good with older children: Yes Fenced Yard: Yes Crate Trained: Unknown House Trained: Yes This very handsome, shy guy is Link! Link is a young boy who  is eager to learn  more of his basic manners and leash skills and is willing to work very hard when rewarded with a tasty treat!  He is very timid around unfamiliar people and places but once he gets comfortable, this sensitive guy opens right up and his adorable personality will shine.  Once he's settle in to his new home, he will be his bouncy, lovable self and will show endless affection.  Because of this, he would definitely do best in a calm household where he can come out of his shell.  He currently lives with another dog and 2 cats at his current foster and would benefit from having another canine companion to help show him the ropes and gain his confidence.   Please come and meet him; we know you'll fall in love. Link has been neutered, microchipped, heartworm tested(negative) and vaccinated. Link's adoption fee will be $500 and will include his health records. Bella loves to run on her walks, so if you  walk quickly  she will be able to keep up to you! True to her breed, Bella does like to bark at dogs and people on her walks but with patient direction from her person she will calm down. Bella can be vocal when left alone, so she would not do well in an apartment setting, A house and yard are recommended for her.   Despite being very vocal, Bella is a super sweet girl that is looking for her forever home! Bella has been spayed, vaccinated, microchipped and has received flea/tick and heartworm preventatives. Bella would like a home with no other dogs and a yard and if possible with someone who is a “homebody” most of the time. Her adoption fee will be $400.00 and will include her health records. If you think you would like to add Bella to your family, please complete our online adoption application  https://www.animalert.ca/apply/dog-adoption.  If you wish to learn more about Animalert, please visit our website at https://www.animalert.ca/ Only those who complete an adoption application will be considered for adoption.
