Story
Batman (aka Batty) was found emaciated and scarred by a wonderful family who lived in an apartment. He did well for months until he decided that he was not a fan of their cat. We were able to take him in on 8/10/19 with no issues. After a time, Batty became stressed in the shelter environment and behavioral issues with other dogs became a concern. Batman does fit his name and can escape over a 6 ft. chain link fence. We reached out to a professional trainer to assess Batman and decided the best course of action would be to have him boarded at Katy Dog Suites where his trainer could work with him one on one. Batty is reactive to other dogs and has a high prey drive although he loves humans, almost to a fault. Batman needs DISCIPLINE AND STRUCTURE from his potential adopter. Duc (his trainer) recommends an adopter that would expect discipline and structure. A Veteran or Military person may be perfect for Batman. Duc suggests that living in an apartment may be best for Batman due to his drive to guard and escape his yard. The adopter will have full support from his trainer as well as AAR to ensure a successful adoption. Interested adopters will be provided a conference with the trainer to discuss tools and techniques he uses with Batman. We do not recommend children under the age of 15 or other dogs in the home at this time. Est. DOB: 8/10/17 This is a courtesy posting so please contact AAR’s Adoption Coordinator at info@aartexas.org for information about adopting. AAR will provide transport for Batman.

IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN DAPHNE, PLEASE GO TO OUR WEBSITE TO READ ABOUT THE ADOPTION PROCESS AND FILL OUT AN ADOPTION APPLICATION. www.furkidrescue.org Daphne was rescued in Memphis when a trucker saw her in the middle of the road. She was kind enough to delay her whole shipment and rescue her off of the streets. She was in horrible shape, as you can see her skin is still in rough shape, although its on the mend and she is healing! Her eye was so infected, the vet thought she would have ot remove it. Thankfully, she is healthy now, with both eyes, and is ready to find her family! Daphne is full of energy as a 7 month old puppy would be! She is fostered with 2 other dogs, chickens, and two human teenagers! She loves her toys, romping in the yard, and exploring the local farmer's market with her foster family! $50 is refunded after completion of an approved puppy class in your area.
