Story
Gabby’s story is both profoundly sad but also an absolutely remarkable inspiring story of resiliency, goofy fun nature, total devotion and love of people that "pit bulls" are known for. Gabby was brought to us from an abusive situation. The girlfriend of the owner surrendered her to us once the owner was arrested on domestic abuse charges. She had been living with Gabby's "owner" and was aware of the treatment of Gabby but was afraid of taking any action. Gabby was reportedly locked in the basement for lengthy periods of time, often without food or water. Gabby wasn't allowed to see anyone or interact with her. Occasionally Gabby was taken her around other animals and tried to provoke her in an attempt to make her aggressive. The girlfriend was emotionally distraught with how Gabby was treated. Yet, out of the dust, comes the true power of Gabby ! Despite her "owners" focused efforts to make her mean, Gabby's unshakeable love and devotion to people remains strong as a fortress of love against a storm of hate and insecurity of her previous owner. She has an amazing spirit and smiles from ear to ear and wiggles with total joy whenever someone spends time with her. She longs for human companionship that had been withheld from her for months. She is a beautiful gal that even knows some basic commands. She would make a great pet to someone that is just willing to give her the love she so deserves. She is driven to please you ! Gabby is cross posted for another shelter but you can apply for her through this Dog Rescue Adoption Process Guardianship Application available for download at Click here for MAPS Files The Adoption process is designed to help best place dogs with homes that are in the best interest of the dogs and their human companions. The adoption process starts with a prescreen review of an Guardian Application. Making decisions about dog placement in adoptive homes is an "art", not a "science", and there will be times when applications will be denied for various reason(s). This is left to the discretion of the MAPS after reviewing relevant information. MAPS reserves the right to make all decisions regarding placement or final disposition of any rescued dog in its care into a foster or adoptive home. There is no guarantee that any applicant(s) requesting to adopt a dog being fostered through MAPS, or posted on MAP's web site, will be granted an adoption. After a successful prescreen, including background checks, the applicant(s) are notified that they can visit the dogs and a time slot is made for the dog and applicant interaction. After the interaction we encourage several days of reflection before adopting a pet to help assure this will be a lifetime commitment of love and quality care for the dog. Next we conduct a home/neighborhood visit to the Guardian Applicant's home. If the home visit proves successful the new mom and/or dad of the dog will sign an Adoption Agreement and share a lifetime of love ! MAPS Files including Adoption Application

Story
I speak spanish! Yo hablo español!Buenos días, soy Neil. Escucha, he estado bajo del sol suficientes veces para saber lo que me gusta. Me gusta mi gente y me gusta mi comida. ¡Oh! Y soy increíblemente lindo. ¡Ven a conocerme!Good day, I'm Neil. Listen, I've been around the sun enough times to know what I like. I like my people, and I like my food. I get a little cranky around other animals, so I should probably be your one and only. And I like to be the only one touching my things. Sometimes kiddos don't really get that, so I need to live with teens or older. Other than that, I'm super loving once I get to know you. And I also handle the vet and the groomer like a champ. Oh! And I'm impossibly cute. Come on in to meet me!Medical History: I have had quite a few teeth extracted due to Severe periodontal disease -our team would be happy to tell you more about it and what I need to keep me happy and healthy! We should also plan a visit to my new vet soon so they can get to know me. Weight: 11.5 lb Adoption Fee: 275 + tax If you'd like to meet me, click the "Learn About the Adoption Process" button below to plan a visit to the shelter!

Hello, my name is Pablo! I'm a stellar young guy who is looking for a most wonderful new home. A home without small children would be great! They can be a little too much for me. I can be a bit shy at first, but once I warm up and get to know you, I love to snuggle up and get pets! So what do you say? Are you ready for the companionship of a lifetime? Come meet me today and see if we're a good match! Medical history: I'm on a bit of medication to help me manage my anxiety here at the shelter, but otherwise I'm a healthy ~3.5 month old! I should see my new vet as soon as possible to keep me healthy. Story
I am a fun loving, goofy girl. I'm so happy, I wiggle when I walk! My last person didn't want me anymore and now I crave that special person who will love me as much as I love them. My biggest pleasure in life is to make you happy and laugh. I might look like a stiff wind is hitting me from the side, but it only adds to my silly, quirky personality. I haven't met a person yet that I don't like. In fact, I LOVE everybody. I'm great at cuddles too and I'm so good at being calm and respectful, just give me a few minutes to get over my eagerness to meet you. I work really hard at greeting you with a sit, but sometimes I'm so HAPPY to meet you I might forget my manners and jump, but I quickly stop when you remind me. I'm very good in my crate and I'm house trained. I promise to adore you for the rest of my life. Would you like to be my forever person?.
