Now located in Houston, TX Lola is a 7 year old spayed female rescued from a shelter in Southern California. Her owner surrendered her because they were moving out of state and couldn't take her with them. They reported that Lola enjoyed being outside in their yard, was crate trained at night inside the house, enjoyed baths, and was good with kids. While at the shelter, Lola won the hearts of all the volunteers and dog walkers! They reported that she is very friendly, affectionate, mellow and well-behaved. She loves to be cuddled and scratched, and will roll over for belly rubs. Lola has some basic obedience training, including leash walking, and does well in the car. She loves walks and playing and has a medium energy level. We are continuing to learn more about Lola as she is currently in her foster home. She needs training, but is food and treat motivated and willing to learn. She loves all people she meets, but is not too fond of other dogs. She has never been around cats, but has a strong prey drive, so we think she should be the only pet in the home :) Lola is a sweetheart that is looking for someone that can give her a lot of love and doesn't mind kisses! This girl also enjoys posing for photo shoots! She is fantastic in the car and is willing to travel for the perfect home! Eddie Dupin is named in honor of one of our amazing dogs who sadly lost his battle with cancer the day before we rescued Eddie. We love you Poe. Eddie was let down by his people when he was dumped in someone's yard. Luckily for Eddie, this lady reached out for rescue help and we scooped him up right away. Eddie is approx 1.5 years old, and is as sweet as pie! He loves people and is so happy to finally be safe with us - he knows we will take care of him forever. Eddie is doing amazingly well health wise. He has put on much needed weight, and is getting ready for his neuter. Along the way we have learned that Eddie does well with other dogs of both sexes. He shows signs of resource guarding (most likely from being starved) but his foster is working diligently to nip this in the bud. Going forward Eddie will need a home with strong leadership to make sure he continues on the right path! Draco is a male Dogo Argentino we had the pleasure of saving from a shelter in Houston, TX today (01-19-2020). He is definitely grateful to be saved and in a home on a dog bed! Draco needs to gain some weight and he has started the beginning of his Heartworm Treatment. He had to have a partial tail amputation due to a bad case of happy tail but he is now with his foster mom for this next chapter in life with DC Dogos Rescue! Draco is currently in San Antonio and not available for adoption until after he is done with Heartworm treatment (he will be ready for a new home in May). Elle Woods got her name because she has beautiful "platinum" fur and blue eyes, like Reese Witherspoon in Legally Blonde. Elle is a young, energetic pit/dogo mix. . She is excited when her people get home from work and gives lots of kisses! Elle is 100% deaf, but that doesn't stop her from doing the same things a hearing dog can. She has quickly learned a few hand signals and pays close attention to her people. Elle should be introduced to new animals slowly, but quickly warms up and wants to run around and play. She needs to be in a house with no cats or small children. She was born in April of 2011. Included with adoption: Age-appropriate vaccinations, up to date heartworm preventative, heartworm test if over 6 months, microchip with registration, and spayed or neutered- if not already, a voucher is provided.
