IHis owner is elderly and cannot give Hyde. He is brindle with pit face and boxer body and four white paws. He weighs 52 pounds and wants to be a couch buddy. He is very lovable. He needs some leash triaining and would love to have a place for him to run off his energy. He is now doing it inside our home which is hilarious. He is very special and needs a loving home.

Story
Sherman is large and in charge!  He is a 95lb. two year old Shepherd/Boxer mix.He is very active and friendly with people. He is neutered, micro chipped, and current on shots. Sherman loves dinner time and will jump up in the air in excitement! He is very affectionate and will lean on you to show his love. He needs a home with no cats, or small children, but can live with other dogs with proper introductions. He is not house trained yet,as he is an outside dog, but he is a smart boy and will learn quickly. Sherman's adoption fee has been reduced to just $125 to help offset medical expenses, as his 78 year old foster mom is facing a health crisis, and it is critical that we find a new foster/forever home soon. . Sherman deserves a chance to show just what a great boy he can be. Our listed dogs ARE READY IMMEDIATELY; we only meet with families WHO ARE READY TO ADOPT! IF YOU APPLY and if WE APPROVE YOU it means we are assuming when you meet any of our dogs and fall in love you're ready to ADOPT AND HIM OR HER HOME! SARGE is just about the sweetest adult dog we have taken in - he is a boxer-shepherd mi&#239&#191&#188&#239&#191&#188x with his beautiful, sparkling wide eyes and silky coat. Sarge is an absolute loverboy. You can’t tell in photos but he is NOT a Big Dog. He is a muscular medium sized GENTLE guy who is 4-5 years old and a loving companion. He gets along with every dog, he is submissive and sweet - he takes cues from other dogs and LOVES being with humans. Our new friends Leilani and Melinda drove 3 dogs including Sarge to meet us downtown - Sarge came from Navarro County and has been kept safe from euthanasia even though he is Heartworm positive he loving nature made the staff and volunteers keep fighting for his space there. Unfortunately Covid 19 brought the shelter far over capacity and he needed to get out. We are so happy to have him he is fully vetted and housebroken but we need a sponsor for his Heartworm treatment. He is ready for adoption any day. Sarge would do best in a chilled out environment - he likes to lie down near his people and just relax. He has low energy in a good way and will be easy to treat for Hearworms; he is comfortable and calm just being near someone. Please open your heart and home to this beautiful boy! Apply to set an adoption meeting for Sarge on: www.dashdog.org General Info - PLEASE READ! *Our $350 adoption fee is based on the cost of rescuing, transporting and vetting each dog; we do not try to compete on prices with municipal shelters whose funds are paid by the city. Baby is a big kisser! She loves giving love and attention in return for your love and attention. She is approximately 2 years old, and loves playing dress up.Baby came to us with hair loss that is determined to be from allergies to something. While we don't know just yet what she is allergic to, she is on steroids to try to bring her coat back to the lustrous sheen we know it can be. Baby is extremely playful and has tons of energy. She loves playing with with anything you can throw. She even knows how to bring the ball back! She is excited around other dogs but hasn't been tested with other dogs fully. Baby is up to date on her shots, heart worm negative, up to date on her monthly flea/tick medication, microchipped, and spayed. At this time, Addison Animal Control has suspended all adoption appointments. Please contact us at 972-450-2845 or addisonanimalcontrol@addisontx.gov to be kept informed of when we will be resuming adoption appointments. Our adoption fee is $10.

Story
Now located in Houston, TX Lola is a 7 year old spayed female rescued from a shelter in Southern California. Her owner surrendered her because they were moving out of state and couldn't take her with them. They reported that Lola enjoyed being outside in their yard, was crate trained at night inside the house, enjoyed baths, and was good with kids. While at the shelter, Lola won the hearts of all the volunteers and dog walkers! They reported that she is very friendly, affectionate, mellow and well-behaved. She loves to be cuddled and scratched, and will roll over for belly rubs. Lola has some basic obedience training, including leash walking, and does well in the car. She loves walks and playing and has a medium energy level. We are continuing to learn more about Lola as she is currently in her foster home. She needs training, but is food and treat motivated and willing to learn. She loves all people she meets, but is not too fond of other dogs. She has never been around cats, but has a strong prey drive, so we think she should be the only pet in the home :) Lola is a sweetheart that is looking for someone that can give her a lot of love and doesn't mind kisses! This girl also enjoys posing for photo shoots! She is fantastic in the car and is willing to travel for the perfect home!
