Story
This guy is quickly learning that life ain't so bad!  He loves everyone, he loves to snuggle in comfy spot.  He is learning how fun toys are.  He has barked for the first time.  He's skin and body are still in rough shape, but this new life he's leading, it is healing quickly. Jeff, one lucky homeless dog rescued from Mexico.  Skin and bones, 6 years old and about 42 pounds.  He was so emaciated.  Sweet but you can tell he was weak and in need of lots of TLC. Jeff couldn’t hold down puppy food so foster started with chicken and broth; soon there after he was eating the puppy food to help strengthen him up.  Despite his neglect, within 72 hours we could start to see his personality come out and he’s just goofy! All Dallas DogRRR adoptable pets are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines upon finalizing adoption.  The standard minimum donation for puppies is $325 + 8.25% tax =  $351.81, for dogs over 12 months the adoption fee is $225 + 8.25% tax = $243.66 and for our senior dogs 8 years and up is $100 + 8.25% tax = $108.25; this increase includes sales tax recently required by the State of Texas to collect.  You can view all the adoptable pets and fill out an adoption application online on our website at http://dallasdogrrr.org.  For more information, you can email adopt@dallasdogrrr.org. This is Pam-cuddly and cancer free! She is the sweetest cuddle bug and the slobberiest kisser. Pam believes that being a lap dog is a state of mind. She is potty trained and playful but also doesn’t mind watching TV with you! Pam carries many scars from the past but is as sweet as can be.  Compact in size she only wants to hang with her human.  Super sweet and beautiful. She is the sweetest girl in the whole world.  She's lived a life of neglect and most likely abuse.  She has a scar on her neck from being tied up.  Many lumps all over her body and scars.  She doesn't let that affect her though.  She just wants to cuddle.  Cuddle so much to the extent she was just laying there on the technician at the vet's office while they placed catheter for her surgery.  She wants nothing more than love and she deserves that after the life she has lived.Meet PAM! This sweet girl has been traveling a bumpy road in life. She came to Dallas Dog with many wounds and scars concurrent with prolonged abuse and neglect.  Despite being in obvious pain, sweet Pam has always been loving towards the humans she has come across.PAM loves to play, but her true life goal is to be the ultimate couch potato! SNUGGLES, BELLY RUBS and TREATS are her favorite things.  She is fine with other dogs after a proper introduction.  Dogs with her similar energy level would probably be the best fit as an overly playful friend may try and interrupt her chill time. She is also crate trained and potty trained.Dogs like PAM are such a blessing to us humans. They remind us that love is still possible even after so much pain. Who do you know who could use some PAM LOVE and will also love her in return??? Please tag or share PAM, who is so deserving of a furever home. Story
Pandora is a shiny black beauty.  She is a year old and weighs around 60 pounds.  She is a very happy dog, with lots of fun energy. She is good with kids.  She is house trained and crate trained and likes to talk to you with her sweet doggie language that is all her own.  She does not bark much.  She likes to snuggle with you.  Walks well on a leash.  Very treat motivated so learns quickly.  And best of all she loves to cool off in her pool on hot days. She went to puppy class and knows basic commands. She’s great with kids & all people. She really loves other dogs and I think just needs a proper intro and slow integration with other puppies or younger dogs.  Adult dogs tend to correct her and set clear boundaries. Pandora was found in a stolen car at 8 weeks old and brought to the shelter by authorities.   All Dallas DogRRR adoptable pets are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines upon finalizing adoption. Apollo is a Boxer Lab Mix who is sweet once he gains your trust. He has some issues with fear aggression he doesn’t do as well with new dogs or people so he’ll need some extra love. He’s also going through some health issues with his skin. He has the dog version of MRSA and is currently on an antibiotic for it. We love this dog but have a baby on the way and his health issues are an issue for us because we have a newborn baby on the way and his issues may be bad for the baby which is why he is needing to be rehomed.

Story
Hi! I'm Otto!   Aren't I handsome? I am a 1 1/2 year old Male Boxer mix who is looking for someone to love. I am just a big baby! I love other dogs. I ride great in the car. I enjoy watching DOGTV. I am such a sweetheart in the bath! I am crate trained and housebroken. I know how to sit, lay down, shake, and I walk well on a leash. I LOVE TOYS and to catch my ball in the air. I am in a foster home with a 9 year old child and I do great with him! I would most likely be a car chaser if given the chance, so please keep me on leash whenever I am outside of a fenced yard. My adoption fee is $275. I am current on all vaccines, neutered, micro-chipped, negative for heartworms and on heartworm prevention.    To fill out an application for me visit the link below and my foster Mom will be with you soon!   https://legacyhumanesociety.org/adoptfoster/adoption-application/We do not have a facility to house the dogs in our program. They are all kept in foster homes until they are adopted. Therefore, if you are interested in adopting from LHS, please complete an online application at http://legacyhumanesociety.org/adoptfoster/adoption-application/ and we will contact you asap about the status of your application.

Story
Jiggy’s owners left her behind when they moved. Jiggy stayed loyal to her owners by staying in theproperty in case they came back; unfortunately she was hit by a car one day while she ventured outlooking for food. Due to lack of proper care after her accident, her spine grew crooked causing her to beincontinent (meaning she doesn’t have full control of her bladder or defecation). Jiggy Jill doesn’t realize that she is different than any other dog. She is able to run and play. She is trulythe happiest, silliest and most active pup. Jiggy gets along with other dogs, cats and loves humans.Jiggy is special needs and requires extra care. She is on a special prescription food which keeps herpoops solid for easy clean up. She is also trained to wear diapers and overalls while she is indoors. JiggyJill might have been a throw away stray who nobody cared for but we want to give her the best qualitylife. She definitely deserves it. Story
Stallone is literally the sweetest dog I have ever met. He just loves people and other dogs so much, he can't help but be over excited when out on walks. It can be frustrating for Stallone when he sees all these potential dog friends, but the pesky leash is preventing him from unleashing his social butterfly.  We are helping Stallone to make calmer choices, and if he makes the best good choices we might actually let him say hello!  He is working on his leash manners and has come along way.  Stallone working on his “adopt me” smile ...it also doubles as his “gimme all the cookies” face. We can’t even train with this super smart boy without smiling along with him.  He is a big ol' lovebug who just wants to cuddle. His intake pictures have arrived and they are worse than the cold dark photo I received in the “Dog Catcher Truck” asking for help. He is worn and weathered, he was given a blanket while he waited for his ride to “Freedom”, he took it and made it a bed as if it was his first nice thing he has had in a while. All shelters have a mandatory stray hold. The shelter has waived that due to his medical condition. He has clearly had no care at all and NO-ONE is probably missing him. He is just a “STRAY” he belongs to no-one he just wandered the streets for survival! He has a large tumor on his testicles, his nails are long, he his bald, skinny, and has deep wounds. How many people watched him walk by everyday struggling to survive. How many people looked the other way thinking they could not help.
