This handsome teenager is Abner- tall and leggy, he should fill out to be around 50 pounds.  Abner didn't have a lot of human interaction before coming to TLS so he starts off on the shy side, but warms up quickly. We think he is a mix of American Foxhound, Polish Hound and Harrier. Abner is up to date on his vaccinations and deworming, microchipped and neutered.  Fostered in Baker County, to set up a meet and greet just email us!  His adoption fee is just $250, which includes the above-mentioned vetting.  Home visit and reference checks are required and are NOT negotiable. This handsome hound is Hank.  He is about 2 1/2 years old, is house trained, gets along with other dogs and is crate trained.  Also, he has not had any interest in the various barn cats at his foster home. Story
Piper was adopted a couple months ago from a Lakeland shelter and is about 2-3 years old. She’s quiet and shy, but is a very sweet girl. As a scent hound she loves to go on walks and have her nose to the ground. Piper is currently undergoing heart worm treatment so she’s not allowed to have a lot of physical activity until the treatment is complete, and she will need to be brought back to the shelter a couple more times to finish treatment. The treatment is free from the shelter. Once treatment is done Piper will be ready to run around and play as she has lots of energy! She is also having trouble with house training even though she gets taken out for walks regularly and is crated for most of the day. A home in the suburbs with a yard would be preferred as she is currently living in a city environment and is wary of all the noise and commotion. Someone with time, patience, and experience training hounds would be a perfect fit.

Story
Dixie is a sweet 5 year old, spayed, microchipped purebred foxhound. We acquired her as she is a very nervous girl that snapped at her previous owner when startled- otherwise she isn’t aggressive. She was given to us as they wanted her in a more quiet home environment. She’s a good girl, but she has more energy than an elderly couple wishes to endure. She needs a family that consists of calm adults that will work with her thunderstorm anxiety & will work to train her as she tries to run away when she gets outside alone. She will come back when called but her nose sometimes directs her and she wants to go on adventures. She is not a hunting dog, and should only go to a home for a pet. As she has nervous issues (thunderstorm anxiety & has snapped previously when startled), and needs behavioral training for running away, she requires a home that will work with her. Otherwise she’s the sweetest girl, and loves belly rubs and a spot on the couch.
