Calling all hound lovers!! This sweet boy is looking for a new home!! 3 yrs old, 65 lbs of floppy eared goodness right here!! This happy boy is a fantastic dog who loves to run and go on adventures! He is looking for a home that can provide him with lots of love, cuddles, and a good roof over his head! He is best suited for a home with adults only, or a family with older children. He gets along well with other dogs too! He is not a big toy player, but loves to chew on raw hides. Overall he is an easy dog to take care of as long as he is able to get a good run/walk in and have someone to love him. Neutered, microchipped, heartworm negative and up to date on all vaccines and heartworm/flea/tick prevention. Will come with his bed, leash, food, treats and all his vet records!

Story
I am an honorary Basset named Fannie Mae. The best guess is that I am mostly, if not all, Foxhound. My foster mom is really curious so she sent off some swabs for a DNA test. I can't wait to see the results!I am a sweet, calm, laid-back lady of about 9 years. I came to BROOD after I was found to be living in some pretty bad conditions with an owner who wasn't taking care of me properly. I am so grateful to have a second chance now at a happy life and can't wait to meet my forever family.I am house-trained, crate-trained, and can use a doggie dog. I love going on long walks around the neighborhood to meet new friends. I am very quiet. In fact, my foster mom said it was a few weeks before I barked at all and then it was because I saw foxes outside through the window. I love people and children and would be best in a home with kids older than 10 as I am a pretty sound sleeper and don't like to be startled awake by sudden noise or movement. I would do well as an only dog as well as an apartment dweller, as long as I got in lots of walk time. ! I'd love to have a home with a fenced-in yard for me to run and play in.I am so easy to love and care for, happy all the time and ready to live my best life! Please contact BROOD today!!! My adoption fee is $150.00.**Only BROOD-approved adopters can meet a dog (no exceptions). Our adoption application is on the BROOD website at https://brood-va.org/adoptionapp/. We adopt to residents of Virginia, Maryland, West Virginia, DC, Delaware, and southern Pennsylvania. Do not apply to adopt from BROOD if you live in another state. We require a virtual home visit and a veterinary reference. The age of many BROOD dogs is unknown, as very few come with official records. The estimate on the dog's age is usually the initial estimate given by the receiving shelter, which may be different from that given at the time of the initial checkup. Different veterinarians may also give different ages, and those different opinions are sometimes reflected on the record. ***BROOD's adoption fees are determined based on the age of the dog. 02/06/2024

Story
My name is Kammy. I was rescued by BROOD from an unsafe living situation in West Virginia a couple of weeks ago. I am about 10 10 12 weeks old and looking for a forever home as soon as possible. I am still in boarding at BROOD's wonderful veterinarian, but living in a kennel is not how I want to grow up. I have had my first round of puppy vaccinations and will need the rest completed after I am adopted.I love playing with my siblings and am a typical puppy. Play, sleep, play and sleep some more is how my days go. My parents are three-quarters basset. Being such a young puppy, I will need to be spayed when I am older and BROOD will cover that cost for my new family. I am also not housetrained yet at this young age.I am looking forward to packing my bag and coming to live with my new family. If you think you want to take on a young, beautiful and loving puppy, then contact BROOD right away. I won't last long. My adoption fee is $250.00.**Only BROOD-approved adopters can meet a dog (no exceptions). Our adoption application is on the BROOD website at https://brood-va.org/adoptionapp/.
