Story
Luna is a beautiful German Shepherd mix that is both beautiful inside and out! She is considered one of our *Special Needs* dogs as she has ligament dysfunction in her one elbows. But despite this, Luna plays with the multiple dogs that live in her home. She is wonderful with humans of all ages,is kind hearted, playful yet calm and is a total cuddler. She would make a wonderful addition to a family looking for a medium to large dog that has an amazing disposition. She is best in a less active home and cannot run long distances, but will fill your home so much loyalty and love. NOTE: In many cases, these dogs are located in La Paz, BCS, Mexico in foster homes. We transport them to their adopted homes via air transport with a volunteer.

Story
Are you involved in, and have experience with competition/sport training with dogs? Aussie could be the perfect dog for you! He would make a great partner for an knowledgeable person who is looking for a agility, nosework, herding or rally dog! Aussie already has a lot of training under his belt with numerous obedience courses at a board and train facility. He was also given the opportunity to try out for the California Rescue Dog Association , where he would learn to be a search and rescue dog and was selected by Barbara Davenport with the WA State Dept. of Corrections for advanced evaluation for the Washington State Police Canine Association program. Although, he did well, he ultimately did not move forward because he had a lack of "toy drive" which was necessary for the programs. He does great with other dogs but since he has a high prey drive we want to place him in a home without cats, chickens etc. He would be best suited for a family with children over 5 years old. He is crate trained and house trained. He loves fetch, rope toys, car rides and being outside on walks! He is active, friendly and a playful pooch that would love to be part of an active household that has experience in competition/sport dog training. If this sounds like your lifestyle, please email us for an Adoption Application!

Story
Victor is a lovely lovely dog. If he is the only dog I have, I would never rehome him. As my ex-boyfriend moved, I was left with two large dogs to take care of, which is beyond my ability. Therefore, I decided to find Victor a new home. He is very sweet with family members and love friendly and enthusiastic guests to the house but cautious about strangers and other dogs on the street. His environmental stress for sure will be better if some time can be dedicated to desensitize training, which is just not possible for my schedule. If you can dedicate the energy for the first few weeks to get Victor settled in your house, he will be an amazing life-long companion.

Story
Hendrix is a sweet heart. He has been our baby. He is 1 years old. We moved from Montana this past year, and he has had trouble adjusting to the apartment life. We both work full time jobs and don't have enough money to rent a house with a yard or the time to bring him out as he would like. He likes the outdoors, playing, chasing squirrels. He is a joy and very smart. He knows many commands, and loves to learn.

Story
Meet Dash - he has had a hard start to his young life. At 5 months old, he was attacked by larger animals and hit by a car. His injuries were many and deep, his leg was badly injured and as a result he lost his front leg. Since being in foster care, he has healed and shows no scars or slowing down with just 3 legs. He is a happy go lucky puppy! He plays with his foster siblings, sleeps in his crate, and knows how to use the doggie door. He is potty trained and does not make a mess in the house. He loves his toys and getting treats. He runs and plays with all of his 4 legged siblings never once hinting he is missing a leg. He is very affectionate and loves to cuddle and get atta boys. He would make a great addition to any family. He is the typical puppy and such a joy to watch grow. If you would like to make Dash a member of your family, please complete an adoption application.

Story
Animal Profile: Betty is an estimated 8-year-old, 67 lb female German Shepherd who had been waiting for a very long time with Special Pals Shelter in Texas to find a home, with no luck. A concrete floor is no place for this girl, so we agreed to take her to Seattle to find her a forever home. The TX rescue notes that Betty was found together with her pup Rita (who we are also taking) wandering around a neighborhood chained together. Betty is friendly with people and large dogs. Betty has a fear of fireworks and storms; she can be an escape artist during storms so that's something to be aware of. More info as we get to know her. Foster Update:  In February, Betty joined us in the PNW from Texas.  She made the journey with her grown puppy, Rita, whom she has transitioned away from well. Betty is thought to be 8 years old and an outdoor dog for most of her life.  As a result, her house and social skills left room for improvement.  In foster care, Betty has made those improvements. She has adjusted well to the foster family's two children under 8 years old, and she peacefully shares the home with the resident 8-year-old, 100 lb male German Shepherd. She is amazing in the car and on a leash and has begun to socialize well with smaller dogs. Progress is still to be made with larger dogs, but Betty is interested in the other dogs and really wants to play. She has conquered her crate anxiety as well as her desire to guard her food. She has also made great strides with house training and house manners. In addition, she greatly enjoys her daily walks. She wags her tail and bounces around the house while her foster mom gets ready. The smile on her face is so big and her excitement is unmistakable. She is a remarkable dog and will make a fabulous companion.  Betty will be a great asset to a person or family able to commit to her. She is eager to please, tremendously loyal, and longing for a person to call her own. Could that be you?  If so, please fill out an application and Dog Gone Seattle with be in touch as soon as possible. Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $350, which includes spay/neuter, current rabies/DAPPV/bordetella vaccinations, microchip, health certificate, and heartworm test. All adoption fees are donations to a Washington non-profit corporation and all donations go to benefit the animals in our rescue.  Apply online at www.DogGoneSeattle.org Animal History: This dog joined us from Special Pals Shelter after being abandoned on a chain. This dog will be available for adoption in Seattle once evaluated.
