Hi, my name is Doug.  I am looking for a good family to love.  I am a very sweet Golden Retriever mix.  Everyone says I am very handsome and have pretty eyes. My ears are adorable - one is usually half way up and the other flopping. I am good with kids of all ages and other dogs.  I don’t know about cats. Actually, I love everyone I meet, though I'm a little shy at first.  I am a very loyal companion and would love to keep you company in quarantine and beyond. I am about two years old.  I am heartworm negative and up to date on all of my vaccines.  I know basic tricks and even walk well without a leash.  I am potty trained and do very well in the house.  I do pee a little when I get scared.  I've been through some stuff so I get a little nervous if someone yells or is holding something big but I promise once I get to know you that doesn't happen anymore.

Max is an incredible youngster who will do his best to protect his home and family. He is obedient and understands the no command. He weighs 53 pounds and considers himself the perfect lap dog. He loves being petted. He enjoys running and walks but doesn't understand walking on a leash yet. He thinks he needs to jump up. He is used to being in a room during the day and is still working on house training so please be patient with him. He loves toys and doesn't need you to throw a ball for him. He does it himself. He is a social butterfly who thrives on companionship and doesn't like being alone. He is submissive and wary of strangers. He is friendly and playful dogs but cats make him nervous. He wants to play with dogs he meets during walks. At the shelter he has shown some dominance when interacting with other dogs so if you have one you'll need to bring it to meet him.He is being given up because his family moved and he couldn't go with them. He only got intro trouble for begging, jumping up, and running away. He is friendly and playful with children but is too rough for little ones. Kids will need to be at least 12 years old. Marlo is an excitable puppy who can get overwhelmed during playtime. He loves to chew and would like to request lots of chew toys in his next home so he doesn't get into trouble. He is proud to announce that he is pretty much crate trained, leash trained, and house trained but just needs a little more work and reinforcement. He doesn't like to be alone and hopes you will spent quality time with him. His owner gave him up because he wasn't expecting so much responsibility with raising a puppy. He already weighs 30 pounds and plans to be a big boy someday. He had free roam of the house and goes to the door when he needs to go out. He is playful, cautious and fearful around other dogs so please bring yours to meet him. He might run off while off leash but will come back if you call him. He knows the sit, come, and no commands. He has tons of puppy energy and likes tugging and toys. He loves sitting on a lap and being petted. He has no experience with children but kids in his next home need to be at least 10 years old because of his rambunctious nature and nipping during play.
