Story
Gus’s puppy eyes are windows you’ll quickly see an old soul in. You’ll also find he loves to land on a soft surface to relax. With that, he’d prefer a quieter home with older teenagers, if any kids. Patience is key with Gus. He is a timid guy who takes time to trust you, especially if you’re male.GREENIES and dental chews are the way to Gus’s heart. He’s reported to want to please and to be a quick learner. He already knows sit, lie, stay, and wait (treats help). This holiday season you won’t have to worry about him begging for your plate either. Instead, he’d prefer a good dog puzzle to solve.Previous owners who had him for 3 months took him to training for leash reactivity and saw improvement while he was with them. Gus ended up landing back at the shelter due to an unfortunate incident after being attacked by two dogs in a neighborhood. As expected, his reactivity may still require some work. Other than reactivity, he’s reported to be great on a leash. Expect excitement in a new area but he quickly calms down after he sniffs some.Having been in a home for a few months, we’re able to provide notes to help set expectations for you.He could use some patience with initial separation anxiety or given warning signs by him. A backyard would benefit Gus. The Pyrenees in him loves to roam. His DNA test also included other breeds like German Shepherd and Australian Cattle Dog.Gus doesn’t really know how to play with toys just yet and maybe that’s just the old man in him but we’re hoping he’ll land in a comfortable spot so he may be at least carefree in his thoughts.

Story
My name is Pearl and I have successfully raised my last litter of 7 puppies! I was a wonderful mom but I am now ready to be a great friend to someone and enjoy my life! I am a Great Pyrenees mix and weigh around 88 lbs. I walk well on a leash, enjoy a fun car ride, am housetrained, have very good manners, and I am a fast learner. I really love running and playing with other dogs but a good nap on the couch is also a favorite pastime. I am very laid back, calm and would make a wonderful addition to any home. I am ready to find my forever family and to feel the love!
