Story
Beautiful Sunshine is one of two remaining puppies from a litter of 9 born at the rescue on April 8, 2014. She is an affectionate and curious little girl with a wonderful sense of humor. She loves being outdoors with her human and animal companions. Sunshine is active and would be a great buddy on runs or walks with her forever family. She is full grown at 60#s. Her best friend is her brother, Spot. They went to a forever home together as puppies, but were returned because the got too big.; It would be wonderful if they could be adopted together, though that's not necessary. Their mom, ';Momma,' is also looking for a forever home! We are a small rescue in rural MO. We're so glad to be on petfinder now so that more people can get a look at this lovely lady! She desperately deserves a loving home.
We'll also keep you updated on Momma's adoption status with email updates.

Story
Momma is an active and friendly dog. She came to the rescue pregnant and gave birth to a litter of 9 puppies on 4/8/14. She was a wonderful mother, but now she is spayed. Momma currently lives at the farm with 2 of her children, Sunshine and Spot. She loves people and being outside. However, her feedings need to be supervised since she will steal food from others. She has a permanent injury to one of her wrists. She will limp after long walks, but this does not stop her! She'll run around and play outside all day, if you let her! That said, she's also quite happy to receive human attention and she's eager to please. Momma would make a great family dog! We are a small rescue in rural MO. We're so glad to be on adopt-a-pet now so they more people can get a look at this wonderful lady! She desperately deserves a loving home.

Story
Oh Henry came to us last year as a small puppy. He has been diagnosed with a genetic issue called Cerebellar Hypoplasia, where the Cerebellum part of his brain did not develop properly, and it controls motor skills. Henry is tipsy on his feet, his head bobs a bit, and when excited he looks like he's doing his own dance. He doesn't think there's anything wrong, but sometimes other dogs don't understand his strange movements. He will need a home that can help keep him safe by not having stairs for him to fall down and having a fenced yard as he's a bit of a challenge to walk on a leash even though it is do-able. Because of his condition, he does sometimes have accidents in the house when he gets all sprawled out uncontrollably. But he's the sweetest boy you'll ever meet! He recently has recovered from nutritional DCM, caused by our choice of feeding a grain free food. We changed his food and he's had three Echocardiograms and has just been deemed as this being successfully reversed - his heart is once again healthy! This issue is killing many dogs, so we consider ourselves very fortunate to have caught this early and followed the advice to change the food we have been feeding our fosters and our own dogs. Won't you consider giving this special needs boy a place in your heart and your family? Please complete our application found on our website, www.bongosbuddiesrescue.com and let's talk so we can schedule a visit with Oh Henry for you soon!
