He would do best in a calm, quiet home with a mature mom or dad, no kids please. He enjoys walks, rides in the car and being outside. He's happy to accompany you while you run errands, especially to the pet store, and if you happen to want to buy him some treats while you're there that would be great. He is not a barker, but he does get scared during thunderstorms and will want to be right by your side. BJ has hyperthyroidism, but he does well on his daily medication. This sweet boy just needs a loving home where he can live out his golden years.

Story
Chauncey is sweet mellow chin. He spends most of his days napping. He isn’t a big cuddler but he does have his moments. Because he is a little older, he sometimes gets a little grumpy if he’s not ready to get up when you are! So he may not be best in homes with small kids. He does not like crates but is fully potty trained and will sleep in your room at night. He’s usually on the floor but will jump up and sleep at the foot of the bed. He enjoys playing with toys and car rides. True to chin behavior, he likes to climb and be in high places. He is a little shadow and likes to be in the same room as his person.  To set up a meet and greet or inquiry about a dog, please first fill out an application at https://savinghoperescue.org/contact.
