He would do best in a calm, quiet home with a mature mom or dad, no kids please. He enjoys walks, rides in the car and being outside. He's happy to accompany you while you run errands, especially to the pet store, and if you happen to want to buy him some treats while you're there that would be great. He is not a barker, but he does get scared during thunderstorms and will want to be right by your side. BJ has hyperthyroidism, but he does well on his daily medication. This sweet boy just needs a loving home where he can live out his golden years.

Story
We have adopted the lhasa-apso mix from Plano shelter in 2013 when he was only about 6 mos-1 yr old. Our 1st dog just passed, and we adopted this third dog in a way to keep the 2nd dog company. The 2nd dog is now 14-15 yrs old and is 'senile' and weak. We just think the 3rd dog is not that happy in our home by himself because he's an active dog and he loves playing and companionship. We feel we do not provide a very exciting environment for small animals. We prefer a new home that has children whom the dog can play with.
