Calling All Experienced Husky Lovers ... Buck is ready to find a forever family to call his own . After being found on the parkway three years ago and failed by humans time and time again, Buck is finally ready to find a home to call his own. Buck is a 7 year old husky who just loves to be loved! Once he is comfortable with you, he’ll shower you with kisses, snuggle with you on the couch, wrap his paws around you and let you brush him for hours! He is also DOG FRIENDLY and enjoys lying outside and taking in the fresh air . He does prefer that his humans and canine companions leave his food alone when it comes to breakfast, lunch and dinner, shows very little interest in toys and is still working on his housebreaking. Unfortunately he was recently in a position that set him back with that, but we have full confidence in our boy that he will get that back down pat in no time. Based on his history, Buck would do best in an adult only, low traffic home and with an owner who has experience with the breed. Buck knows to come when you call his name, knows basic commands and is working on perfecting “ roll over.” He is a Mello guy who has had a rough past but has already started to leave it behind during this time with his Awesome Foster family! Larz is around a 6 years old, male Siberian Husky and came into the shelter as a stray wearing a make shift harness that our medical team had to cut off because it was so tightly wrapped around him. During his routine check-up and upon his intake, medical staff realized he has an old injury to his left eye, which is non-functional, but this doesn't stop this guy from getting around! He came in shedding his coat, and slightly matted but our staff quickly brushed him out and as he's still shedding his winter coat, they got a lot of that matting out and he is feeling much better. Larz did growl during his food test, and tends to guard his toys, so he would do best with a savvy owner who has experience with guarding. He did well with his play test with a low-key, polite, female canine friend, but can try to mount sometimes. Bolt is our 2 year old Siberian Husky, who came into the shelter overnight by our local PD. As you can guess, Bolt is high energy and lots of fun to play with! Bolt has very puppy-like energy and would thrive in a home that loves to do activities like hiking, going for a run, play with toys in the yard, or simply just hanging out with their canine friend! At this time, our trainers say Bolt may go home with a family who has young teens, 14+. Bolt still needs to learn some leash manners, so upon leaving the shelter trainers suggest continued training with this.
