Story
Introducing Forest! This majestic beast was found as a stray and never claimed. He’s a friendly, affectionate dude that’s ready to find his perfect family. Forest seems to have an old soul. He’s not phased by much but does prefer a calm, slow introduction when meeting new people and dogs. After a nice long walk he enjoys a good snuggle session where he can be by your side and just gaze affectionately into your eyes. Forest has a sensitive tummy. We are hoping his issue is stress-related and his symptoms stay resolve once he’s out of the shelter, but it may be something that needs to be managed long-term. If you are interested in adopting Forest, please contact Toronto Animal Services West Shelter at 416-338-6271 to start the process. Adoptions are done by appointment only.

Story
***Note: Tom is in Foster so Visitation is by appointment only. If you are interested please submit an online adoption application and we will be in touch.***Meet TomTom is an approximately 2 year old Lab mix. He was found as a stray in a remote community in Northern Manitoba. Tom is a lovely, high energy dog who loves people and play, and also cuddling. Tom would thrive with an active owner who would spoil this sweet boy with walks and games to both physically and mentally stimulate him. When Tom arrived with us, he showed us that he was afraid of other dogs. We have invested in training for Tom and now he loves to play with most dogs when supervised and can be comfortable being around other dogs, provided he has a proper introduction. He has also had some obedience training and is now a wonderful, well behaved dog. He does sometimes test his boundaries so he needs an experienced owner who is willing to work with him to reinforce what he has learned in his training. We recommend a home with no shared walls, access to a fully fenced yard where he can run and play and a family that is home more often than not.Tom would not be good in a home with other small pets, cats or young children. He will be neutered, up-to-date on his core vaccinations and microchipped prior to adoption. If you have questions about him or the process please contact his adoption coordinator at: annars.ehs@gmail.com .

Say hello to Dakota - a handsome one-year-old male neutered Siberian Husky looking for his foster-to-adopt family! Dakota is a tidy boy who takes pride in keeping his kennel neat – a promising sign that he`ll appreciate a clean and organized living space in his forever home. While Dakota is an well-rounded pup, a bit of basic obedience training will take him from good to great! He`s a fast learner and will thrive with consistent guidance (and lots of treats)!Dakota is an awesome leash walker - a lovely companion for your daily walks or weekend hikes. True to his Siberian Husky heritage, Dakota has a musical side. He`s known to serenade the shelter with his soulful singing. If you`re considering adopting Dakota and share walls with neighbors, his melodious tunes might be something to keep in mind. While in foster care, Dakota will be scheduled for a dental procedure ensuring he starts his new chapter with tip-top oral health. This procedure will be arranged with one of our trusted veterinarians at no charge to the adoptive family, underscoring our commitment to the well-being of our furry friends.Dakota is eagerly awaiting a loving family to call his own. Story
Here comes Cameron!Cameron is a 3-year-old, male, neutered, Husky mix who arrived at the shelter as a stray, but is now looking for his forever home!Cameron`s all set to live with his new family; he`s been microchipped, vaccinated, neutered, and health checked since coming to the shelter. All that`s missing is you!Cameron is high-energy, fun-loving and an all-around sweet, happy boy. His favourite thing is squeaky toys, especially when he has a buddy to throw them for him. He loves to play and explore outside with his favourite people. He`s not too strong, so you can comfortably take him on a walk. Cameron is interested in other dogs, but is unsure of them and tends to bark. He would benefit from training to help him with his manners and confidence. That way, Cameron can really come into his own!!Cameron has been at the shelter since September and during his stay at TAS he experienced a collapsing episode. He received urgent veterinary care following his episode, although a definitive diagnosis could not be made. Cameron has not had any further clincal signs but it is recommened that the new owner follow up with their own veterinarian. If you are interested in adopting Cameron please call the North Shelter at 416-338-7297 and staff can discuss the current adoption process and Cameron`s medical history with you! Thanks for looking!!

She is a husky mix, 1 year old and weights approx. 17 kg. She was hit by a car, thankfully not much and after a visit to the vet to make sure she was ok, she came to the sanctuary and has been with us ever since. She is a picture of health, fully vetted and vaccinated, microchipped and spayed, as well as housebroken and leash trained. "SAVINA", with her distinctive one blue and one brown eye, is a playful and loving dog, good natured and easy going. She is also very friendly with animals and humans. "SAVINA" would fit into any lifestyle and family and would love to have a sibling.
